I love my Mr. Steady
Whew! It has been another whirlwind week.I don't know if anyone else has been having any technical glitches but each time I tried to get on here this week- when I had a small space of time to do so- it wouldn't let me. Sigh.
Things are great.
Mr. Steady and I spent a wonderful, quiet day together yesterday- celebrating 14 years of marital bliss. The kidlets spent the day (and night) with my parents. Good weather (finally) so they all got loads of fresh air and slept like logs- hopefully that trend will continue through-out today.
I didn't cook- Mr. Steady took us out for brunch (we slept in and were "pokey") and we spent a couple of hours just sitting there and talking. We, obviously, haven't had a lot of time to do that of late. It was a great day of renewal and refreshment for our marriage. A needed and necessary day just spent "being" together.
Fourteen years has gone by pretty fast and yet so much has happened in the space of those years. Pain and sorrow, joy and laughter and too many blessings to count.
I look at my husband and marvel at the fact that what I thought was impossible is definitely more than possible. On our wedding day I thought I couldn't possibly be more in love with him than I was at that moment. Now I know I was kidding myself- it is possible to love more- a whole lot more. I love him more each and every day we spend together. I love him more through the conflicts we face together and the joys and triumphs we celebrate together. I have loved him more with each child we have brought into this world together and the one we mourned together. I love him more with each prayer we pray togetherand with each step of faith we take together.
I continue to love him more as we continue to open ourselves up to the plans God has laid out for us. I love him more the more he shares the dreams and hopes he feels God laying on his heart. I love him more and in different ways than I ever thought possible when I stood with him 14 years ago at the tender and untried age of 20 and tied my life to his.
I love the WE that God has made us to be.

My Husband (DH)-Mr. Steady
My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.
DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.
DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.
DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
