What I choose for 2008

I choose joy for 2008. I choose to praise the Lord no matter what in 2008. I choose to hold fast to the faith that God is bringing a glorious rain of blessings into my life and I must continue to prepare the soil for it. I choose to believe that God wants to give me all manner of good things- I will stop the stinkin’ thinkin’ that has me believing God wishes to punish me every time I fail Him. I choose to believe that the harsh, difficult, but learning/teaching moments of 2007 will give way to abundant joy and blessings in 2008.
2007 was about God helping us to prepare the soil by tearing up all the plants and weeds, by tilling and plowing it under. We have seen a rich field laid to waste- to become fallow ground for a season— done so that the field will produce a better harvest.
I believe this to be the year for that harvest. But even if it so happens that 2008 is another fallow year—I will still praise Him.
I will not doubt. I will remain strong.
Thank you Lord for the problems, crises and circumstances that came in 2007. May I always remember the lessons learned from each trial and suffering and may I always remember to trust You. Help me Lord, to trust you more completely and teach me, remind me, to choose joy each and every day of this year.

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. – Psalm 90:12

Choosing Joy. What a wonderful concept!!! Of course sad, bad things are going to happen but we can CHOOSE to have joy on those days as well. As my husband and I say...have a Pollyanna attitude. Think upon the good in every situation!!
