A GREAT big Birthday Weekend

I had the most wonderful, lovely birthday weekend. Many cherished memories were collected.
Mr. Steady took the day off on Friday- we visited a gi-normous indoor farmers market. Bought myself a real cool apple gourd (hoping to save the seeds and plant some myself!). Mr. Steady had a night OUT- friends came over loaded with pizza, games and videos and kept watch over the children while we went out for a special dinner.

Saturday- my actual factual birth day was a completely lovely all-day affair hosted by my hubby and kidlets. Homemade cards, yummy brunch, hugs and kisses, a fall hike, collecting leaves, sailing leaf boats, feeling the warm sun on your face, more hugs and kisses, a good book and fuzzy blanket, dinner made by Mr. Steady and Maiden, table set by Sassafras- complete with center tablescape made from the kidlets gifts, my parents over for supper, yummy chocolate cupcakes decorated in leaf sprinkles . . . . . a beautiful prayer of birthday blessings from my husband- hearing him and the kids go round and round the table listing all the things they love about their Mommy . . . . . oh, how I wish I could have recorded that conversation . . . .

Sunday- Mr. Steady’s birthday. Special breakfast, worship and well wishes from church family, a favorite lunch hosted by his girls, the afternoon spent snuggled watching a requested movie while the kids napped, cake and well wishes from my youth group and yes, I did reciprocate- the kids and I going round and round the table listing all the things we love about Daddy. We actually sprinkled the day with “Oh, and another thing I love about Daddy is . . . .” Again- wish I had recorded it as they thought of the most touching things.
What a weekend- what a way to celebrate turning a year older. God has showered us with blessings. My heart is full to bursting.

My Birthday gift Tablescape- acron & pumpkin salt and pepper shakers (filled with rose hips), ceramic pumpkin and pumpkin spice candle. The leaves are from our hike. Lovely!
