Home Sweet Simple Home

Full Fun Fall Day

A very busy and joyful day here.
A full fun day of school.
A good book to read aloud to the kidlets.
A double batch of pumpkin bread (half with chocolate chips) baked for our homeschool group.
The smell of that bread permeating the house.
Finished my monthly financial report for youth ministry. [All numbers matched!]
Made a fabric covered journal for a dear sweet friend.
Revamped this week's menu plan twice.
Carved pumpkins as a family and had a marvelous and hilarious time doing so.
Dried some pumpkin seeds. [One pumpkin had a seed sprouting inside of it!]
Spent the evening with my parents- Mr. Steady helping my dad tear down an out- building while I visited with my Mama and helped her make supper. The kids filled the birdfeeders for Nana and took the old bread and biscuits out back for the deer.
We sat around a roaring bonfire talking, laughing and relaxing.
We ate pumpkin donuts and Halloween candy.
Kids played flashlight tag and mostly ran round and round the yard.
Sat back and gazed at the stars.
Drank slushy ice apple cider.
Snuggled.
Sat our pumpkins on our porch, sprinkled the insides with pumpkin pie spice, lit 'em up and went outside to see them glow.
Ending up with toothpasty kisses and nuzzles.
God is good.
All
The
Time.

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.

DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
