Doctor today

I can't take it anymore. I have an appt. for today to see the Dr.
My right ear is mostly plugged- I can't hear much.
My sister gets married next Saturday and I want to be healthy.
School is going well.
The kiddos are pushing to get it all done as Nana is coming to get them so I don't have to haul them all with me to the doctor's office. Thank you Nana.
We are enjoying our school but it is taking us a bit longer to find our rythm. Mostly because of me not feeling well. I long to feel "normal" again and get back to my own normal routine.
I want to garden and the house needs it's seasonal deep clean and I'm getting itchy to do some fall baking (but can't taste much of anything).
I was able to change some of the decore around the house- swapping out summer frippery for fall finery. A luscious fall  table cloth on the porch table, a fall wreath on the front door. Candy corn in the silver candy dish. There is still more to get out but my energy fails me more quickly right now. Mid-afternoons I need to rest (reminds me of when I was pregnant- I'm not by the way) and my evening is spent cooking and clean up and family time. That's okay- I realize this is only a short time and God is showing me that He continues to be in charge and that my to do list is not necessarily matching up with His to do list. That's okay. I am listening for what He has for me in this time-- it is obvious that God wants me to slow down. And so I am. Some things are sliding, yes, and it just can't be helped. The important is still getting done. Each morning I pray over my to do list and ask the Lord to help me accomplish what He wants for me today. And so as the day ends, I figure the things that didn't get done God did not mean for me to do. This lets go of much of the fretting I could be doing. I have had to say twice within the last couple of weeks, "I'm sorry- I'm just not able to do that/or get that done at this time." I have found the words to be freeing and that I don't feel guilty and I have found others to be responsive and understanding when I must say it.
And so
God is Good.
All the time.
