Engaging change in my life

In less than five weeks, my little sister is getting married. Granted she is 27 years old [and we should take into account- that’s 7 years older than I was when I got married and by the time I was her age I had 2 kids and been married 7 years . . . .] and a big girl- she’s still my little sissy. It’s funny- but 27 on her seems so much younger (and dare I say less mature) than it was on me . . . . .
The Bride-to-be and Mr. Mechanic recently had me take some photos of them for the engagement announcement for our local paper. Here’s my favorite-

I added the verse and softened the edges. I like how it turned out and believe I will have it printed and framed for my Sis.
While the beginning of getting to know Mr. Mechanic was a bit rocky for my brother and I . . . . we are now past that and love him and feel blessed by the addition he makes to our family. He is a good man and loves my sister.
They will be living about a 55 minute drive away from us and while it isn’t much at all- it’s far when you consider my brother lives less than 5 miles from me and my parents live about 10 miles away. They have found a church together and so with her marriage comes the end of us all, our entire family, attending church together. In this day- I know we have been immeasurably blessed to have all been worshiping together for so many years and yet it is another change and I will adapt. She has already asked that we plan to come to their church with them some Sunday and then have lunch at their home afterwards. Oh, to think of my sissy as the keeper of her own home!
