I am glorious

While in the car listening to a local Christian radio station the other day I heard a new song by The David Crowder Band. The chorus so struck me that it's been in and out of my mind ever since.
Allow me to share:
You make everything glorious

And I am Yours
What does that make me?
Such an incredible word picture held within such simple words. God does indeed make everything glorious and yes, he made me too. So it follows that He has made me glorious. Shouldn't that thought change how we look at ourselves? I think of that lovely little line from Veggie Tales "God made you special and He loves you very much." I am special. I don't always feel special but God sees me as such.
God sees me as special even in my own ugliness and sin. He has desired a relationship with me from my very beginnings- He loves me unconditionally- no matter what.
Perhaps I need to take a bit of time and look at myself and my little family with new eyes- eyes that see the glory God made.

This Sunday's sermon included a quote from our minister (unfortunately I don't remember the source) that said, "if God had a tatoo, your name would be on it."
