White Stuff & Scones

Yep, weÂ’ve got some of the white stuff. Crazy weather. It was suppose to be ice last night and instead it snowed. In fact, it is snowing right now- crazy thing is- itÂ’s almost 40 degrees out! Nice to see it coming down. ItÂ’s sticking to the trees and bushes etc. and looks so lovely. We had to break out the snowpants again for my girls- havenÂ’t done that in a few weeks! Seems to me like itÂ’s just the right time for a cup of hot tea and a scone.

Speaking of scones- Does anyone have a wonderfully yummy super-easy scone recipe to share? IÂ’d love it if youÂ’d share with us all!

Snow, really? Sounds like the perfect day for scones and tea or anything warm and soothing!
I will dig through my files and see if I can find my scone recipes!

Ooh, I love talking about scones.

Nice to meet you. I started a thread about scones not long ago on my favourite forum, I can see if I can dig out a couple of recipes from that that are my favourites.

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.

DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
