Works For Me Wednesday- Special Edition “Mom-I’m-Bored”

Today's Works for Me Wednesday is a special edition- what do you do when your kids say "Mom, I'm bored."
We have 2 lists for boredom busters- an activities list and a work list. I use to find that the kids would go through the list of activities and say “I don’t want to do any of this stuff. I’m still bored. There’s nothing to do.” So we created the Work List- a list of various menial jobs such as cleaning the cat box, picking sticks and trash up out of the yard, weeding the garden, alphabetizing the books etc. They quickly learned that if they didn’t like anything on the activities list that Mom would assign a task off the work list. This has pretty much squashed the “Mom-I’m-Bored” moaning around here.
Here’s some of the items on our activities list: make an obstacle course in the backyard, play hopscotch, go for a bike ride, visit the library, using the arts and crafts box, going for a nature hike, playing in the sprinkler, making fairy houses in the garden, play bocce ball, croquet, our own version of frisbee golf etc.
And that is what Works for me in squashing the “Mom-I’m-Bored” syndrome here on the homestead.

I was wondering what your opinion is, from a biblical perspective, on all this Paris Hilton hoopla.
I haven't followed the story closely, but from what I heard on the radio, she was convicted in a drunk driving arrest, then violated her parole 3 times. Apparently after the second violation the judge told her she would receive jail time if she violated parole again. Then, the judge kept his word.
I have to think that this will probably turn out to be the best thing that could happen to her as hopefully now she will be too afarid of the consequences to drive drunk again. I was actually amazed that you could get that many chances before finally getting a jail sentence. My feeling from hearing all of this is that we don't take drunk driving seriously enough.
