Sugar

Did you know that sugar is great for getting sticky sap (and such) off your hands? When we do yard work that leaves our hands gunky and sticky- like picking up pine cones with pitch on them or trimming the pine tree etc. We use sugar to get the sap/gunk off. Wet your hands and then sprinkle a bit of sugar in the palm of your hand. Then rub your hands together working the sugar in. Rinse and repeat if needed- otherwise just finish by washing with soap and water.  I love this handy trick! It also works pretty good at getting walnut stains off your hands as long as you wash right away!

I also use sugar and olive oil to soften my dry hands after doing dishes. Works Wonders!

You can also use it as an all over body scrub...good way to get rid of the White sugar without having to eat it! LOL Thanks for the tip on the sap though, that will come in handy!

God Bless!
Maggie

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.

DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
