Ways to add Pizzazz to Breakfast

I just recently found a sheet of paper in my fat recipe file listing ways of adding a bit of extra pizzazz to breakfast. I’ve jotted down some good ones- gleaned from my own growing up years, from others and from books over time.
Here’s a handful of the best of the best . . . .
~ Make toast- spread with peanut butter and sliced bananas (or sliced strawberries)
~ Toast half an English muffin. Spread on cream cheese and top with a thin slice of ham.
~ Make a toasted PBJ sandwich
~ Make that PBJ sandwich with banana bread or raisin bread
~ Make a fried egg sandwich- place a fried egg between 2 pieces of toast- add a slice of cheese- yum!
~ Pizza for breakfast- use English muffin halves and top with sauce and cheese and your choice of toppings
~ Breakfast pizzas- use English muffin halves again but top with scrambled eggs and cheese
~ PBJ quesadilla- add sliced bananas too!
~ Top plain vanilla yogurt with dry cereal (Fruity Pebbles is my kiddos’ fave)
~ Make a yogurt parfait- place some yogurt in bottom of parfait glass, top with some fruit, then some granola and/or chocolate chips, keep layering until glass is full.
Sometimes just adding a shake of cinnamon and sugar to cereal or candy sprinkles to yogurt adds that little extra that makes the kids think you’ve gone out of your way to make breakfast grand!

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.

DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
