Eggs in a Basket

Eggs in a Basket
1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (10 biscuits)
10 eggs
Shredded cheese
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 10 holes in a muffin tin. Place one biscuit in each hole and press down and up the sides to form a little bowl. Break one egg into each biscuit “basket”. Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until eggs are set and biscuits are lightly browned. Sprinkle with cheese right at end of cooking time- just enough so that it melts. Helpful Tip: fill the empty holes in the muffin tin with water.
Addition: Add crumbled bacon bits onto the egg before baking- yummy!

 This is Maiden’s favorite breakfast to make. She loves serving it with the fruit cups or fruit freezies and sausage links. A wonderful staple for a novice/apprentice chef.

This looks great! I know you are looking for "from scratch" recipes; we made these yesterday and they were delicious:
Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. white flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
3 TB. oil
1 egg
Combine dry ingredients. Whisk together buttermilk, oil and egg. Stir together. Bake on hot griddle.
Serves 3.
I doubled the recipe, and we had leftovers. My kids like leftovers as snacks.

The recipe sounds wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing. I'll be putting it in my recipe file and making it soon. Which means- I make the batter and Mr. Steady makes the pancakes- it's tradition! LOL

I'm not much of an egg fan, but I wonder it this would work with baking jellies? (like those used for jelly filled cookies)
I do love biscuits and jelly, and if this saves me a step. LOL
