Soap!

I just received soap that I ordered from Dahlem’s Soapworks and I gotta say “MMMMHHHHMMMM!”

Let me just go on record as saying we have always been a liquid soap household- my DH and I always found bar soap to be gunky, slippery and scummy and liquid soap never made the mess a bar does on the sink. We also felt we were saving money as bar soap is thrown out when it gets to be a sliver, whereas with the liquid- weÂ’d put in a little water to use up those last few drops.

Anyway, IÂ’d been reading about yaÂ’ll making soap and how store bought soap can really dry out your skin etc. etc. and how yummy smelling soap can be . . . . I was visiting keepsakeguild.com and noticed they were carrying a product from DahlemÂ’s called CindylouÂ’s clothsline soap bar. Now I found this to be very interesting and so decided to check out DahlemÂ’s. SheÂ’s got some wonderful stuff listed and more to come (like homemade laundry powder, linen & room sprays, and dish liquid to name just a few!). I ordered CindylouÂ’s Clothesline, Celestial Light soap bar and the Farmgirl collection. Oh, my! I am so tickled and so pleased. I put CindylouÂ’s clothesline in my downstairs bath and now when I go in my bathroom it smells like that wonderful soap! Let me tell you that liquid soap never made my bathroom smell so good! And my hands- oh they feel and smell wonderful! I wish IÂ’d had this soap when Sam was a newborn and I was washing my hands 50 times a day. I am already seeing improvements in that my skin isnÂ’t so dry and doesnÂ’t soak up as much hand lotion.

Well, just had to share my gush with all of you. I havenÂ’t made the cross over to making my own soap and am so very pleased with this find!

on trying my hand at soap making as soon as I get a chance and can afford the things to do it with. Store bought soap is very drying.
