Today

I have pork stew cooking away in the crockpot and a bag of homemade rolls sitting/thawing in the sink. (I love it when I cook ahead & freeze and a delicious supper comes together so effortlessly!)  IÂ’m burning one of my favorite Yankee Candles- Fresh Cotton. Laundry is done (almost all put away). Daily cleaning is done. I just received some wonderfully yummy smelling homemade soap and can smell it on my hands as I type. I ordered some tea tree oil and am contemplating ordering some dried lavender  (as my bushes got trashed in an ice storm and I want to make more dryer bags etc.) I had some wonderful prayer time today and after some careful soul searching about some “thoughtless remarks of mine” (not the term I would have used) to other family members--- I am actually feeling the most balanced I have in quite a while. I guess if I'm going to "shoot my mouth off" I'd rather it be to family who have to put up with me anyway! Really- what I said was true, I just probably shouldn't have said it to the family member I said it to. Sometimes it is best to keep some thoughts/opinions to ourselves,don't you think? Besides this sil is use to me and "my ways" (as my brother says) and usually just shrugs and thinks to herself "Well that's just Amy." Some days it's great to be loved inspite of your quirks and annoying ways- we each need to know we are loved no matter what!

So, sitting here smiling and feeling pretty good about myself and my family. God is good ALL the time.
