My girls' lists
Since we are winding down our school year and I am in that recording phase of it all- I asked my girlies what they liked/loved about homeschooling this year.Here is what they said in their own words:
Maidens List: Why I like Homeschooling
1. I get to sleep in.
2. I get to spend more time with God.
3. I love my homeschool group and the friends I have made there.
4. I like that I can check my own work so that I can better understand what I did wrong and learn from it.
5. I like my handwriting program. I get to write scripture verses and then give them to others. I see it as a ministry.
6. I like not spending my evenings doing school; I get it all done early in the day and get to spend more time playing.
7. Now that I don’t have homework, I get to spend my evenings with my family and friends and stay up later.
8. I get to go on many cool field trips.
9. I like that I have a better attitude and a better relationship with my Mom.
10. I love getting to spend more time with my family.
11. Since I am home, I can help my mom more and learn more from her.
12. I really love my quiet time [in the afternoon] when I get to curl up in my parents’ bed and read, read, read.
Sassafras’s List: What I like about Homeschooling
1. I love my handwriting [Reason for Handwriting]; the verses and the pictures to color and giving them to lots of different people.
2. I love my reading program- it’s very exciting and I get to learn about different people and what they do.
3. I like my math, it’s fun and colorful and I am learning lots of new neat things.
4. And most of all, what I like, is Mama teaching me.

My Husband (DH)-Mr. Steady
My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.
DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.
DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.
DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
