Home Sweet Simple Home

Disappearing posts & caution

9:18 AM, 2008-Jul-24 .. Posted in Everyday Things .. 2 comments .. Link

You may have noticed that I've locked a couple of posts.
My brother stopped by this little bloggy home and advised me that I should be more careful with what I say.
And I agree.
I like to think I maintain a bit of anonimity here with code names and not naming specific nearby places and such but one never knows.
You just never know.
I keep this blog for myself, the joy of writing, sharing that writing and hearing back from others. It's a grand thing.
I've never gone out of my way to share this blog with my family and friends- its not a way to stay in touch with far-flung kin--- its just me being a bit more me than I can be at times and at the same time a bit more anonymous than I can be at times.
I remember my surprise when I found that a friend had found my little blog here and had been reading it anonymously for quite some time. It was a bit unnerving and for awhile I found myself changing my writing style because of it.
Just my long winded way of saying I must "proceed with caution".
Oh and go here to check out my brother's business blog.

- it does feel weird at times not knowing who is reading about your life.

I do look daily at my visitor stats to see where folks are from - I figure it would show a pattern of a stalker?? As it does show how long one looks at the blog page for.

I also like to believe there are a lot more nicer folk in the world - but yes I try to be careful too.

I enjoy blogging - and blog for personal use - it is fun reading back over prevous entries of what we have done - its really a journal of our life - nothing profound or interesting to many.

Love Leanne

I completey agree! I have stopped writing now because I feel like one of my family members is reading every word we write. We did give her a chance to look at it to see photo's we took of our garden but now it is like she is just looking at it to see what we are up to all the time. It feels sort of weird when we mention something and she already knows about it without saying she saw it on our blog.'Weird"

Great picture of you and the children:)

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.

DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
