ROUGH WEEK

08:36, 2006-Apr-21 .. 4 comments .. Link

Our week has been a full one! Thankfully we have had several warm and sunny days to keep the children busy. My husband has been nursing a nasty chainsaw wound he received while cutting trees last Saturday. We are so grateful that the injury was not any worse, but his lower leg is quite sore and swollen. Of course, he wasn't going to let that keep him from going to work, so I don't suppose THAT helped. Today he stayed home to see the doctor, so a 3-day (rainy) weekend should help him to stay off it a bit.

I started some indoor seeds (a little late), so hopefully they will be ready to transplant by the end of May. I must say I envy you who already have your gardens in...our growing season here is shorter than it was in Lancaster county.

We are finishing up the kids' English classes for the year  they are glad for that. Now I need to get working on their portfolios for evaluation time. Now that I don't have all those English lessons to teach maybe I will clean up the front and back porches and get out in the gardens a bit.

Things have been pretty rough lately, but I found a $100. bill in the change holder of my wallet today. The kids immediately suggested an angel put it there! Maybe they're right...

A hundred dollar bonus find! SkippyHusband always says he likes doing my laundry for the dollar or two he finds occasionally....

To find $100 is definitely an angel moment. Congrats!

Oh I am so sorry about your dh.... I hope he does get some well needed rest.

Lovely PA portfolios...I haven't had to do one yet, but I'm not looking forward to them.

So glad you did have a bright spot in your day....

God bless, and I do enjoy reading your entries.
