I absolutely love tea time. Pleasant memories of friendships and a hot pot of tea. A beautifully laid table set with the finest china and silverware. Just like Heavens' table when we go home. All the finest linens and dinnerware. I also love spending time with the Lord, meditating on His precious words. A time to quietly sit and praise Him and thank Him for all He has done. It is a great time when the harshness of the day still lingers and our souls are in much need of refreshing, it is during those times that we must learn to turn it all over to the Lord.

Just like with friends, I love tea time with my precious Jesus, the lover of my soul. It is in those times I hear Him whisper softly in my ear saying, "sit back my daughter, sip on my tea (the word), it is sweetened with milk and honey. Remember, no matter what this day holds my child, I haven't gone anywhere, daddy is holding your hand."

~ Tina's Priceless Treasures ~ Tuesdays Tea Time Ladies ~

Well Ladies, it is that time again and I am glad to say that we are back on track.

I am sorry it has taken me a few days to post.  I have been very busy with curriculum reviews for this year.

Many you knew that we post poned due to the delivery of one of our ladies having a baby. I am happy to say both are doing very well. At the time that we post poned we were only through the first week.

So, with knowing this we have decided to start at week 1, I know some of you were waiting on your book to come in and this will give each of us time to really get back on tract and in tune with the message of this book.  So if you are still interested you can still join us.

We will be starting fresh at Week 1.

I will meet back here every Tuesday or Wednesday to discuss the study with you. You will then have a chance to comment on the study and what the Lord is doing in your life. Please comment, I will print them out and share them with the Ladies here. We will also put you on our prayer list.  I look forward to FINALLY getting this started.

Please be sure to scroll through all my post and read all the ones that have to do with Tina's Priceless Treasures ~ that would be the Tuesday Tea time Ladies  and under the Tuesday Tea time Gatherings.

That way you are caught up and in full swing by this time next week.

I hope all is well and that this study becomes a true blessing to you all. I look forward to my next teatime post on July 8th or the 9th.

"I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul."
    Psalm 31:7

Oh, Ladies if you only knew how that verse keeps ministering to my soul.  Today I had a sherrif at my door, he delivered a summons for me to be in court for truancy.  Now, I have one child at home, homeschooled and 3 in school. At first I thoughht it was the homeschooler, but come to find out it is for the 3 in school.

Now mind you last year our family was sick with the flu and my children brought lice home not once, but 5 times from their school.  So with the days they missed I am now consider truant.

Please keep me in prayer.  This could affect me being able to homeschool them this year.  My husband and I decided to take the children out of the school system and begin to homeschool them again.  So, I have already ordered their curriculum for the year as well as made up their lesson plans and have been ready to start this year.  I still have a little tweaking hear and their and a few more things to order, but I am pretty much done.

I know in my heart this is an attack of the enemy. So ladies you have been there for me before in prayer, I am calling on you all to pray again, especially those fellow homeschoolers out there who know the importance of homeschooling.

I did want to share with you after the sherrif left, I broke down and cried, "Lord, please help me. I know we heard from you on this matter. Go before us and prepare the way and make this right.

I sat there at my computer desk and noticed my calendar had not been flipped for that day.  When I looked at the scripture verse and read it, ( the one that is listed above.) oh how it ministered greatly to me.  But then I read what Nancy said in reference to that verse and I knew God had spoken to me.  I will rejoice because He will make it right, even while I sat there with tears in my eyes.

"He is the God of every circumstance. He is in the process of redeeming and making all things new. You can rejoice in Him, even when your eyes are filled with tears."

    Nancy Lee DeMoss

I also knew that every tear that I cried, He was collecting in a bottle. My tears were not going unnoticed. We serve a loving Father who cares about our EVERY need.

God reminded me of another verse that is so precious to me.

"You number and record my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle--are they not in Your book?

Then shall my enemies turn back in the day that I cry out; this I know, for God is for me.

In God, Whose word I praise, in the Lord, Whose word I praise,

In God have I put my trust and confident reliance; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

    Psalm 56:8-11

    amplified version

Also I want to share this BEAUTIFUL poem with you, please check out her site at:

Isn't is so wonderful to know that even our tears are seen and caught by our daddy in heaven.  Just like a compassionate father wipes the tears of his little girl here on earth, even more my Heavenly Father wipes and collects mine.

Like the pages in my bible,
    That record my family tree;
    You've recorded all my troubles,
In your book of tears, I see.
Here's the time I found my true love,
    Happy tears shimmered on my face;
So sadly. I lost that loved one,
You received all my tears with grace.
You wrote down the birth of my child,
    Prideful tears glistened in my eyes;
And when he (she) caused fear and sorrow,
You took my tears each time I cried.
See the star beside my new job,
    You blessed me and I walked tall;
I got stubborn, went my own way,
You caught my tears, I took a fall.
All my tears are in a bottle,
    My bible says you put them there;
To remind me of your presence,
Each time I shed tears in despair.

"His delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law He meditates day and night."

    Psalm 1:2

"Absorb the Word by dwelling on it, pondering it, going over it again and again in your mind, considering it many different angles, until it becomes a part of you."

    Nancy Lee DeMoss

This whole chapter is the very first chapter I ever memorized, so these verses are very near and dear to my heart.

    ********************************

1BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

2But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.

3And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

4Not so the wicked [those disobedient and living without God are not so]. But they are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away.

5Therefore the wicked [those disobedient and living without God] shall not stand [justified] in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous [those who are upright and in right standing with God].

6For the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly [those living outside God's will] shall perish (end in ruin and come to nought).

    Psalm 1 ~ Amplified Version

    **************************************

Here is a wonderful hebraic view of this chapter. I would comment here, but this site has done a wonderful job.  I will leave you to your study. I printed mine out and devoured it.

"In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge."

    Proverbs 14:26

Do we ever stop and think of the little eyes that watch us daily to see how we handle lifes difficulties? How we handle gossip or hateful people? Do they see us get smart with the cashier when she is a little slow?  Do they see us return the buggy after we unload our groceries into the car?

We need to remember that someone is always watching our walk as Christians. We are their example of how to live abundant lives for Jesus.

Are they seeing us happy and joyful or miserable and depressed? Do they see us smile at someone and then turn and speak ill of that person or do they see us pray for them to know the Lord?

As a mother of 7 and one on the way my, my children have taught me more about being a godly woman than anyone else in the world.  God knew what He was doing when He said to be fruitful and multiply. He knew that it would be a circle, parents and children teaching eachother how to become better disciples and servants for Him.

Here is a question once asked from Nacy Less DeMoss. This question has stuck with me through many difficult times, may it help you to stay focused as well.

"What kind of legacy are you leaving your children ~ and their children? If they take their cues from the way you respond to pain, disappointment, and loss, how will they respond to life's tragedies? More importantly how are your responses shaping their view of God?'

"He said, "It is finished," and He bowed His head and gave up His spirit."

    John 19:30

How many times in life are we facing something huge in our lives. Maybe it is financial struggles, sickness, rumors, or even people in our lives that are hateful and want to cause trouble.

I find that sometimes it is hard to let go and let God. But I am also finding that in times such as those above and some that I didn't even mention that many of you might be experiencing, in those times is when we need to even more put it in to the hands of the Lord.

I know that it is tough to not want to handle it on your own, but like Jesus He "bowed His head." In that final moment of His life. He chose to take the pathway to complete surrender before His heavenly Father.

What issues are you facing? Are you struggling with finances and you need to hand it over to God and allow Him to be your accountant? Are you facing illness, cancer, miscarriage, or possibly a cold? Turn it over to Him, believe in His word you are healed by the stripes He endured on the cross and Let Him have it.

Or are you having problems in your marriage? Pray for your enemies the word says. I consider that anyone you are in conflict with. Sometimes even in the midst of marriage we can come to a point where facing our spouses is even difficult, but it is then we need to bow the knee and the head and surrender to Jesus.

Let go and let God. Remember God knows how it will end, the great thing is if we completely surrender our lives than it is His will we will see.

"Everyone will deceive his neighbor, and will not speak the truth, they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves commiting iniquity. Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me, says the Lord"

    Jeremiah 9:5-6

"Belief produces behavior. Believing things that aren't true produces sinful behavior.

    Nancy Lee DeMoss

Oh, does this passage ever ring true in my life. I wish so badly to move onto a farm.  Where I live so many people profess their Christians, but maybe 2% live their lives truly walking as Christians.

We have so much lying, hating, deceit, and just straight up evil around us. As a matter of fact the huge house next to us. Is a huge famliy of Wiccans.  Sad thing is they are very quite and bother no one, they stay to themselves.

It is the ones who go to church on Sundays, that allow their children as well as themselves to run up and down the street starting fights and hatred.  My heart cries out for them to wake up!

It is so hard rasing kids in todays society, where so called friends will love you one minute and stab you, and sometimes literally, in the back. Please keep us in prayer we are seriously planning on buying a home in the country, we are just asking God to perform many hurdles and jumps, MIRACLES for that to happen.

"Be hospitable to one another without complaint. As each one has received a special gift, empoly it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

    1 Peter 4:9-10

Let’s look up the following verses and see what attitudes and qualities important to hospitality are found in them:

    a. Matthew 20:26,27 - (Servant heart)

    b. I Corinthians 13:4-7 - (Love)

    c. Colossians 3:23 - (Wholeheartedness and enthusiasm)

    d. Proverbs 11:16 - (Gracious)

    e. James 2:1-4 - (no respecter of persons)

    f. Proverbs 11:24,25 - (generosity)

    g. I Peter 4:9 (Phillips) - (cheerfully without wishing you “hadn’t got to”)

What are some thoughts on preparing for real Christian hospitality?

    a. For House Guests. Prepare a place - prepare a bed, room, drawer, and closet space (if available), towels, drinking glass, etc. If possible, add a “homey” touch like a basket of fruit or a fresh flower, etc.
Prepare yourself - Be ready for their arrival. Be dressed, well-groomed, etc. Think through on conversation topics.
After they arrive - Set aside a time to rest, relax, acquaint them with the house, plan things they’d enjoy doing (good to check this with them first offer several options), RELAX!, make them feel at home!
    b. For Dinner Guests - Plan the menu ahead of time; make sure you have all necessary ingredients; plan time schedule so dinner will be on time and you will have time to freshen up and not be rushed and harried; plan questions or topics for conversation; be ready to welcome and make them feel at home; RELAX!
    c. Guests Just For An Afternoon Or Evening Visit - Plan to have the house and yourself ready when they arrive; at some point you may wish to offer coffee, hot tea or iced tea, etc. If you plan to serve a dessert or snack make it simple enough so that preparation or serving of it does not require a great deal of your time. Plan conversation topics, etc. In receiving any guest in our home, we should concentrate on them (Philippians 2:3,4) not ourselves. Be warm, friendly, gracious, thoughtful, express appreciation for them being there, show love, affection, etc.

"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you...Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will life you up."  James 4:8-10

Before you get close to God you have to find the highway to lowliness.

    ~ Nancy Lee DeMoss

    humbleness~

    noun

Lack of vanity or self-importance:  humblesness is the same as: humility, lowliness, meekness, modesty.

An attitude of modesty and lack of pride.

The opposite of pride is humbleness, meekness, submissiveness, or teachableness. — Ezra Taft Benson (1899-1994)

Lessons for Life: How to be Humble

Our culture says that humility is a virtue.

However, we often fail to apply the concept in our own lives.

Some of us look for aggressiveness in our children. We think that it will help them to succeed in life. It also will make you proud when your son scores a touchdown or makes the “All State” debate team.

But have you noticed that some of the greatest athletes are humble, that some of the greatest intellects are humble, and that some of the greatest leaders are humble?

What! Your culture doesn’t say that humility is a virtue?

Try this if you are Jewish or Christian:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chr. 7:14

Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. Prov. 16: 19

And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
      Isa. 5: 15

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt. 18: 4

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Matt. 23: 12

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. James 4: 10

Why vis it when we find a humble person eager to share what he or she has, we are surprised and then pleased?

Why do I combine benevolence with humility? Because they go hand-in-hand don’t they? A humble person gives his or her soul to God and serves others not expecting any earthly reward..

Does being humble drop your self esteem?

I don’t think so. It simply places you in the scheme of things now and in the hereafter. You no longer have to think of yourself being the brightest, cleverest, strongest, best looking person in the world.

If you are rich it will diminish the fact and you will become more benevolent. You will seek wisdom more than riches and you will govern your affairs with dignity and honor.

Humility is the beginning of knowledge.

If you say that you know nothing about the fauna of Egypt but would like to know about it, you are on your way to gaining knowledge. You will feed your mind and you will be grateful for that knowledge and you will seek more knowledge.

If you say that you know nothing about a subject and you have no desire to learn more because you are afraid that you might not understand the knowledge you receive, you will be miserable if you don’t even try to gain such knowledge. You are “suffering” from low esteem not humility. A humble person says that one will do the best one can to learn.

A humble person will do what he can to serve others.

A humble person will search for wisdom.

A humble person will be grateful for all he receives.

A humble person will recognize that he knows little but can learn much more.

A humble person will not be aggressive to others.

A humble person will take care of his family and give them support in all that they do.

A humble person will love God and recognize that God will lead him to truth and knowledge.

    ~ Tina's Priceless Treasures ~ Tuesday's Tea Time Ladies ~

    Photobucket

Okay, sorry it has taken me a while to post this.

We have found while looking through this book that it is set up, day 1, day 2, etc.

So, in knowing this we will begin day 1 on Tuesday the 10th and then meet each Tuesday to discuss that week.  We had to discuss this to find out what would be the best out come for each chapter.  Seeing that we meet on Tuesdays we wanted to have the week finished by the following Tuesday.

Many of the ladies did not finish their reading so we have begun our lessons Tuesday 10th, which puts us on "Day 3" today.

I will say this.  For those of you who do not have the book and you are trying to do this study over the computer. Oh, how I wish you could purchase the book.  So much deep information.

On the Personal Notebooks. There is something for each day to do.

    Here are the days:

Day 1:  Assemble  your notebook as I mentioned previously in my other entry. If you haven't done this, please go ahead and assemble your notebook.

"Write your Personal Vision Statement on the first page."

This needs to be ~personal, physical, spiritual and mental. As well as a vison for my family and children (do this one with husband so you stand on agreement for your family)  I enocurage you to ask your husband for his, so you can pray for him and place that here as well. (My personal add in)

Write from your heart this can be one sentence to the whole page, front and back. This is your vision.

Day 2:  Label the first tab divider in your notebook TAG ~ "Time Alone with God"(We'll be adding more labels and contents in notebook in days to come.)

Day 3: Create a page titled  "SCRIPTURE MEMORY" and put it in the TAG section of your notebook. Whenever you encounter a verse you would like to memorize, write it out here for future reference, memorization, and meditation. Add additional pages for this as needed.

Day 4: In the TAG section of your notebook, label a blank piece of paper "POWER TOOLS" Here you can list scripture verses, practical tips, and resources to strengthen yourself in weak areas.  Also, list the nameof one person you can call on for help in EACH area of weakness.

Day 5:  Write the daily affirmations on a sheet of paper labled "AFFIRMATIONS" in the TAG section of your notebook. Begin noting any that are special to you. You can also add your own personal affirmations here as well.  Donna Partow in her book notes, the friend that got her started on this practice, devotes 1 hour a day to this spiritual discipline and credits it with completely transforming her life.

Turn to your affirmation  page anytime you have a few spare minutes to redeem the time by renewing your mind to God's words and thoughts about you.

Day 6:  This is Saturday in the book, (Monday for us), this day is review and catch up day.

[ ] Create and begin using Personal Notebook (PNTBK)

[ ] Write personal vision record it on front page.

[ ] Create and begin using a special prayer place in your home.

[ ] Commit to spend Time Alone with God (TAG)

[ ] Add following items to my notebook: TAG section divider, Scripture memory page, power tool page, and affirmation page.

[ ] Confronted areas of secret sin and I am developing a plan of action of how to deal with them.

[ ] I have found an accountability partner. I cut out scripture cards from back of book and have put them in my binder.

    ************************************************************

Daily I am practicing the following:

[ ] Using my Personal Notebook

[ ] Regularly reviewing my vision statement.

[ ] Spending time in my prayer place and enjoying TAG

[ ] Dealing proactively with my secret sins.

[ ] I am completing this bible study everyday, practicing the memory verses, and reciting my affirmation.

    ****************************************************

Day 7:  Weekly Reflections.  Spend this time on what we have learned through the week. Spend extra time on the scripture memory verses. Pray and prepare your heart for the next week. Take one day out of each seven and rest and reflect. DO NOT use this time to catch up that is done on day 6. But do schedule them for the coming week.

    *******************************************

    SCRIPTURE VERSE for THIS WEEK

    Day 1-7: Proverbs 31:10-11

    *********************************************

    WEEKLY PASSAGES TO READ

    Day 2: Mark 1:35-39

    Day 3:  Psalm 119:9-11, 15-16

    Day 4: Proverbs 31; 10-12

    Day 5: Phillipians 4:4-9

Day 6: Turn Proverbs 31:10-11 into a scripture prayer to God

    Day 7: Reflection

    *************************************************

    AFFIRMATIONS

Day 1:  I place my full confidence in God, He has a good purpose in my life.

Day 2:  I commit myself to time alone with God.

Day 4: I bring God good, and not harm, all the days of my life.

Day 5: I choose to focus on the positive, especially the truth of God's word; therfore my life is filled with positive outcomes.

Day 6 and Day 7: Review day 1-5 affirmations.

    *******************************************

Whew, that's all for now. I hope that gets you started. If you are going to do this study again I encourage you to purchase the book.  Please comment here if you are doing this study so I can add you to my prayer list.

"He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from troubles."

    Proverbs 21:23

"Silence cannot be misquoted" ~ Mike Murdock

Isn't that so true.  I am learning that as Christians we talk way to much  Lashon Hara ~  "evil speech"

"Which means saying something bad about another person even if it happens to be true. In other words, lashon hara, is gossip, spreading evil (even if it is true) reports, or expressing a critical or negative spirit about others. Such behavior is forbidden in Leviticus 19:16.

Now, of course there are times when a person is obligated to speak out, even thought the information is disparaging, (for example - while testifying under oath, and so on.)

However the practice of being motzi ra (someone who goes around and speaks evil) is related to the status of metzora, the one who is afflicted tzara'at, and therefore many of the Jewish sages have made the connection between the sin of lashon hara and the unclean condition of tzara'at. (leprosy)"

    ~Hebrew4Christian.com

I did some study and I do alot of study on words with Hebrew understanding. Jesus was a Jew and so we must remember His roots.  He is not a Western Civilized Jesus.

    Found at: http://www.jewfaq.org/speech.htm

"There are two mitzvot in the Torah that specifically address improper speech: Thou shalt not go up and down as a tale-bearer among thy people (Lev. 19:16), and ye shall not wrong one another (Lev. 25:17, which according to tradition refers to wronging a person with speech).

Tale-bearing is, essentially, any gossip. The Hebrew word for tale-bearer is "rakhil" (Reish-Kaf-Yod-Lamed), which is related to a word meaning trader or merchant. The idea is that a tale-bearer is like a merchant, but he deals in information instead of goods. In our modern "Information Age," the idea of information as a product has become more clear than ever before, yet it is present even here in the Torah.

It is a violation of this mitzvah to say anything about another person, even it is true, even if it is not negative, even if it is not secret, even if it hurts no one, even if the person himself would tell the same thing if asked! It is said that the telling of gossip leads to bloodshed, which is why the next words in the Torah are "you shall not stand aside while your fellow's blood is shed." The story of Do'eig the Edomite (I Samuel Chs. 21-22) is often used to illustrate the harm that can be done by tale-bearing. Do'eig saw Achimelekh the Kohein give David bread and a sword, a completely innocent act intended to aid a leading member of Saul's court. Do'eig reported this to Saul. Do'eig's story was completely true, not negative, not secret, and Achimelekh would have told Saul exactly the same thing if asked (in fact, he did so later). Yet Saul misinterpreted this tale as proof that Achimelekh was supporting David in a rebellion, and proceeded to slaughter all but one of the kohanim at Nob.

The person who listens to gossip is even worse than the person who tells it, because no harm could be done by gossip if no one listened to it. It has been said that lashon ha-ra (disparaging speech) kills three: the person who speaks it, the person who hears it, and the person about whom it is told. (Talmud Arachin 15b).

In Jewish law, all things are considered to be secret unless a person specifically says otherwise. For this reason, you will note that in the Torah, G-d constantly says to Moses, "Speak to the Children of Israel, saying:" or "Speak to the Children of Israel and tell them:" If G-d did not specifically say this to Moses, Moses would be forbidden to repeat his words! Nor is there any time-limit on secrets. The Talmud tells the story of a student who revealed a secret after 22 years, and was immediately banished from the house of study! (Talmud Sanhedrin 35a ??? Rabbi Ami***)

The gravest of these sins of tale-bearing is lashon ha-ra (literally, "the evil tongue"), which involves discrediting a person or saying negative things about a person, even if those negative things are true. Indeed, true statements are even more damaging than false ones, because you can't defend yourself by disproving the negative statement! Some sources indicate that lashon ha-ra is equal in seriousness to murder, idol worship, and incest and adultery (the only three sins that you may not violate even to save a life).

It is forbidden to even imply or suggest negative things about a person. It is forbidden to say negative things about a person, even in jest. It is likewise considered a "shade of lashon ha-ra" to say positive things about a person in the presence of his enemies, because this will encourage his enemies to say negative things to contradict you!

One who tells disparaging things that are false is referred to as a motzi sheim ra, that is, one who spreads a bad report. This is considered the lowest of the low.

It is generally not a sin to repeat things that have been told "in the presence of three persons." The idea is that if it is told in the presence of three persons, it is already public knowledge, and no harm can come of retelling it. However, even in this case, you should not repeat it if you know you will be spreading the gossip further.

    Wronging a Person through Speech

Leviticus 25:17 says, "You shall not wrong one another." This has traditionally been interpreted as wronging a person with speech. It includes any statement that will embarrass, insult or deceive a person, or cause a person emotional pain or distress.

Here are some commonly-used examples of behavior that is forbidden by this mitzvah:

    • You may not call a person by a derogatory nickname, or by any other embarrassing name, even if he is used to it.
    • You may not ask an uneducated person for an opinion on a scholarly matter (that would draw attention to his lack of knowledge or education).
    • You may not ask a merchant how much he would sell something for if you have no intention of buying.
    • You may not refer someone to another person for assistance when you know the other person cannot help (in other words, it's a violation of Jewish law to give someone the run-around!).
    • You may not deceive a person, even if no harm is done by the deception; for example, you may not sell non-kosher meat to a non-Jew telling him that it is kosher, even though no harm is done to the non-Jew by this deception.
    • You may not sell a person damaged goods without identifying the damage, even if the price you give is fair for the goods in their damaged condition.
    • You may not offer a person a gift or invite a person to dinner if you know that the person will not accept.
    • You may not compliment a person if you do not mean it. "

"Whose is wise [if there be any truly wise] will observe and heed these things; and they will diligently consider the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord."

    Psalm 107:43 AMP

I understand there are times in our lives that leave us feeling that we are all alone and God is very far away.  But we must remember that God is ever present in our lives.  He is actively in everything that is going on in our lives.

When we begin to develop the habit of looking at our situations and evalutating them according to God's character, as if He shaped them, we will begin to gain insight into how to draw closer to Him.

Things don't just happen.  Those situations that we pen as accidents or surprises, are actually revelations from a lovig father. It is God constant care and concern for us.

If we keep our eyes focused on Him and His word, trusting that He will see us through all that we face, we will be able to have peace that passes all understanding.

So I urge you this day and days to come, to wake up and greet each new day and expect it to reveal His glory, power and His love.  Trust me when I say your hours will be filled with so much more joy and awe when you discover that God is walking beside you every step of the way.

Because each day you will find yourself drawing closer and closer to HIm.

Lord help us to see your mighty and faithful hand in all the events of our lives.  We know Lord that you are with us, giving our lives purpose and meaning.

"I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your doings; I ponder the work of Your hands."

"MY cry, O God; listen to my prayer.

From the end of the earth will I cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and fainting; lead me to the rock that is higher than I [yes, a rock that is too high for me]."

    Psalm 61:1-2

Until we place our lives fully in the hands of God, we will never quiet the anxious thoughts that can cry out from within the depths of our souls. Those thoughts that leave us feeling helpless, unhappy and defeated.

What are you yearning for? Did you know that what you are yearning for and trying to find has been there all the time. God alone can satisfy your desperate and deepest longings.  Without Him we are lost. Without Him, even the sources of fleshly happiness , such as family, possessions, money, invite stress, and agitation.

Only when you make God the center of your life will you find true fulfillment.

"I cry to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me."

    Pslam 57:2 NRSV

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

    Proverbs 15:1

We can creat a very calm climate in our homes  by the way we respond to those around us.  This is even true when we are dealing with individuals who themselves are acting contrary to the word of God.

A soft, gentle and loving word ministers love, grace, strength, and encouragement.

I want to be like the woman in Proverbs 31:

"She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction]."

    Proverbs 31:26

Just think speaking with godly wisdom when we open our mouths. Speaking kindness, giving those around us counsel and instruction with love.

Yes, this is my hearts desire. Speaking to those around us the way my beloved Savior would.

I hope this word has been of sweet encouragement to you.

"Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me."

    Psalm 119:133

Isn't God's word just life giving?  I am absolutely fond of the Psalms, but especially Psalm 119.  I could read the whole chapter daily.  I love His word and I love to eat and mediatate on it it day and night.  Which reminds me of another Psalm that I love. It was the first chapter I ever memorized.

    Psalm 1

1 BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who w
