Brianna is feeling much better about her upcoming concert. She spent 2 hours with her violin teacher yesterday working through the tough spots. She used up her lesson time and Vanessa's and missed grammar class altogether, but that's alright because she needed it. She had a piano masterclass a little later that afternoon and then she had symphony practice at 8pm. The practice went 100% better then last time and she felt good about it. It was a little rougher on Vanessa, they sped up the tempo just to keep her on her toes! She'll do fine. She is just trying to decide if she should play with or without her sheet music.
I attended writing class with Vanessa... I LOVE IT! I am learning and I am really trying to apply the concepts to my writing and maybe someday you will actually be able to notice an improvement in my writing skills. Wouldn't that be great! Vanessa received a B+ on her paper to her dismay. She really was trying hard for an A. She has things to learn, yet, but the teacher thought it was a very good paper. The teacher took one sentence from each of the essays and wrote it on the white board. Each sentence had one more more errors that the class was suppose to find. We were all horrified to learn that a sentence beginning with the word so is a fragment sentence. One friend had written a sentence like that and we were all very sorry because three of us proof read her story and didn't recognize it as such. A fragment gets you an automatic F, however the teacher wrote the F over an A, saying the paper was excellent, otherwise. There was at least one error in each paper from hilarious dangling modifiers to simple misplaced commas.
I came home around 9:30 to find my refridgerator FULL of a variety wonderful homecooked food. My friend Jeanne did a vegan cooking class last evening. Christina went to it as a helper. Apparently everything was fabulous.... and judging from all the yummy morsels found in my fridge, I have to agree! I was most impressed with the lunch meat slices that she made from soybeans and gluten. Wow! It is Amazing stuff. She used mostly recipes from the 7 Secrets Cookbook by Bracketts and one of my recipes :-) Another friend of mine attended the class and she was happy with what she learned. She said, " It's not so hard. It just comes down to having all the ingredients in place so that you can just do it."
Today is a little bit slower day. Steve is doing some outside chores like blowing out the lines; that is draining all the irrigation pipes of all traces of water so that when the cold weather hits the pipes won't burst. I am going through all the kids suitcases and sorting what they think they need for the trip and what I know they need.

Ha! I love Neva Brackett's book, Seven Secrets too! I make the gluten steaks/lunchmeat that you had in your fridge all the time for my guys. I make mine with garbanzo beans.
Happy Day!
