Isabelle's new dress!

I made a new dress for my 2yr. old.  It is just a basic pattern, but I love the fabric.  For one, I got it on the clearance rack at walmart, and two, it has that "vintage" look to it.  Anyhow, just want to share a few photos:

Gabrielle, my 7yr. old, helped a little with this.  She is very excited, my friend and I are going to begin sewing classes with our daughters this week.  Their first project will be aprons, and then I want to make colored dirty clothes bags for each bedroom.  A white bag, light and dark bag to help the kids with their sorting.  What are some other things we can use as a beginning project for our girlies?  Any ideas would be great!

Thanks for visiting my blog. My heart goes out to you living in the city and longing for the country after being raised in MT. What part did you grow up in?

What a sweet dress! An easy thing to sew might be a little purse. Just an idea.
