Who is this Jesus?
John 1:1-3
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.
Matthew 3:16-17
16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.
17 And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
Matthew 17:5
5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"
John 6:67-68
67 "You do not want to leave too, do you?" Jesus asked the Twelve.
68 Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Matthew 27:54
54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!"
Acts 1:9
9 After He said this, He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
Once Saved, Always Saved?
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
If I can't earn it, if I 'lost it' then I couldn't do anything to get it back.....so that would mean God is a liar.
Romans 10:9-13
9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame."
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him,
13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Matthew 9:12-13
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
John 3:14-18
14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
15 that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.
16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
John 6:35-40
35 Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe.
37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.
38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.
40 For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
John 10:27-30
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and the Father are one."
2 John 1:10-11
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him.
11 Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.
I do not 'deserve' Salvation. I can't earn it, buy it, barder for it, swap, inherit it with the farm, nothing.
It's a Gift.
Free Gift WHEN:
Admit, I am a sinner, and without Him, destine for Hell. Repent of my sins.
Confess, I am a sinner, and that Jesus is Lord...
Believe, In my heart, my mind, my soul and with all my strength, that Jesus is Lord!!
I, am Saved. Not just for the moment, but saved. Done. No do overs, no more 'try agains'. I am Saved. A child of God, indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Sealed for Him. Bought, sins forgiven, loved, ingrafted, A daughter of the King. This is a gift, that I cannot lose. Why can't I lose it? The Seal, The Deposit, The Guarantee. Also known as The Holy Spirit.
Then in Obedience to the Father, I am baptized by water.
Don't be confused. From Genesis to Revelation, it's all about Jesus. Don't be mislead. He is clear, and He is serious. You can't earn a thing with Him........not one tiny thing.

Poor child, you must remember, if you are KEEPING THE LAW to get into Heaven, you must keep the WHOLE LAW. That's more than the "10 Commandments". That is ALL the Law (See Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy).
Jesus is the only One who kept the whole Law. Flawlessly. That is why the curtain was torn, top to bottom.
That is why He was the Perfect Sacrifice for us! He was Perfect, because we are not. Not even Billy Graham!!
Murder. Take out a gun and kill. Ok. Abortion. Ok. How about "the thoughts, and the heart?" Um, that makes us ALL murderers. Yep thats right, me and you. Keeps us in check in the heart. Keeps us humble. Not one of us is "less of a sinner Saved, in Christ".
I didn't understand that when I was first saved either. I thought it meant "taking another persons life".......Jesus really explained in Matthew 5-6 the "heart of the Law".......And Praise God in Heaven, HE doesn't grade sin on a scale!! Moses would have never entered The Kingdom of Heaven. He murdered. David would have not entered into The Kingdom of Heaven, dubbed "A man after God's Own Heart".......He was a murderer. I would hazard a guess the guard that Peter lopped off his ear when the arrested Jesus.....would have bled to death had Jesus not healed him on the spot..........
Jesus brings Peace, Hope, and a deep deep Joy. If you are not living in this, grab His Word, and read Matthew, or John.

Oh, and to your anonymous, Don't you just love those? Anyway, no sin is greater than any other. We are all sinners and have an opportunity for heaven. I know plenty of Divorced people sitting in the pews of our local churches proclaiming Salvation. God clearly says He hates divorce are they not going to heaven? Many don't even think that their divorce is sin or that their remarriages is living in Adultery. I still believe that even though they live in constant sin that as long as they believe in Jesus Christ they are going to Heaven.
