At our homeschool co-op there's a class my younger sister and I are in!! It's called colonial life. Last week we dyed wool! It was so cool!!! Here's the stuff we're going to do! make preserves, dried apples/ vinegar ,dip candels, make soap, shell and pop popcorn, christmas party, spin wool, weave wool, sew leather, quilt patches, braid rags, make maple syrup, grind grain, make bread and butter!!!! colonial children could card and spin wool by the time they were six,as well as start a fire,work in the garden,gather the eggs,cook, and sew!!!! By the time they were nine they could drive the draft horses!!!! |
