People liked him because he was enthusiastic and happy and friendly. If only more Christian men were like that! Think what a great Christian witness that would be...

If we lived our lives with that kind of open joy, bubbling over with excitement at the world God created for us, marvelling at the works of His hands, teaching others, willing to explore things we don't already know about, TALKING to people... wouldn't that be a powerful testimony?

He made most of us look drab and repressed. If only we Christians had half of Steve Irwin's joy and enthusiasm, we would indeed adorn the Gospel.

Yes, I agree. I thought that last night when I watched
his wife on 20/20. He lived life so passionately!
You KNEW what his passion was.....if we, christians,
lived that way...what an awesome testimony we would be!!!

Amen! This is very true. I am going to try and be more positive myself. Not that i am negative, but I need to share more joy.

I saw that 20/20 special and thought the same thing too. It reminds me of the verse, "They will know you by your love".

He was definitely known by his love of wildlife and his family. We can all learn from him. :o)
