Snow on the Tanker

We had our first "it stuck" snow. We had snow a week or so ago but it didnt' stick at all. It won't last because the ground is still to warm.

I'd like to put my 2 cents worth in about the election. Not the out come but the process getting here. For over a year each side has been telling us what is wrong with the other. First the primaries.. Where candidates from the SAME party told how horribly wrong it would be to vote for any of the others, then after the primary they all jump behind the one they vilified( made to seem a villan) not one week before. Now all of the candidates of one party turn their sights on the candidate of the opposing party and we get to listen to months and months of attack ads telling us how DANGEROUS it would be to vote for bla bla, how unqualified they are etc.. Now the elections are over and we hear, especially on Christian radio, how we need to stand behind the person they told us for months was awful???? Each party did everything in their power to dissuade us from voting for the other. Now all we hear is what Mrs. Winner will wear and how Mr. Winner will bring "new perspective". I personally am tired of the process. Not the voting process, that is a right and blessing I won't give up but the ugly back stabbing and the phony support after the election is lost. If someone was “awful” before we voted, why aren’t they awful after?????How bout we just stick to the FACTS and the qualifications of each candidate not all this petty stuff???? Novel idea eh?

First Fire

I had our first fire for fall tonight. I put it off as long as I could but I was just to chilly. For some reason I'm just not ready for winter this year.I have been heating with wood for the most of 18 yrs and usually I'm ready for the charm and warmth of wood heat but not this year. I'm not sure why this year is different but it is. Maybe it  is just me.
