My Stove is here!
The stove is here but not in the house yet. It weights about 570 pounds so its not like I can just pick it up and put it where it needs to go. My husband is out there now putting castors on the plallet. I take that back. we just moved it indoors. I now have slight grooves in my flooring but I figure people will be looking at my great stove ( and wondering about my sanity) and not my floors. My Uncle is coming soon to help move it to its mat on the floor the we can see what else we are going to need and how to put the stove together. No instruction just a lot of rods, screws, blots and a few pieces of sheet metal. This should be interesting.
When it arrives I did inspect it as I was told to do and I am glad I did. There was a bit of damage on the oven door. Just three very small places where the powder coating had been knocked off. I called Obadiah's and they will ship a new door on Monday. They are so great!
I will try to post a few pics here soon!

I think you will really enjoy that stove. My Granny always cooked on a wood cooking stove, her food was great. She calimed it was the stove that made the food taste soo good. Her buttermilk buscuits were the best ever.
She has passed away and her stove now sits in my mothers garage.
My husband wants to hook it up in our garage and the turn the garage into huge kitchen/dinning room.
Mom just isn't readly to part with it though. So it sits in her garage not being used.
I have though about buying a new one and now you have got me thinking about it again. My oven went out two days ago on my 11 yr old electric stove. Hubby told me to go pick out a new stove and he would get it home for me.Well now..........he didn't say another electric stove.LOL
I hope you get it all hooked up soon.

WOW!
What an exciting time for you. I don't think you have taken leave of your senses at all. In fact, I think it is pretty neat. I am just trying to find an all gas stove. That is not an easy task either.
Can't wait to see your pictures.
Blessings,
Jennie
