My Baby is Twelve Today

     What! Can this be? My baby girl.... It has been such a journey being a Mom to my dd. The good, bad and the ugly moments. I didn't know how to be a mom. I barely had parents growing up so I tried to do the opposite of what they would have done. I prayed over my dd and promised her that I would do my best. I believe that I have. Would it have been the way that another parent would have done? No. This was my style of parenting. I always tried to listen to the Lord and do as he was guiding me. Did I always listen? No. Big Mistake. I am just thankful that I have such a beautiful, funny and smart daughter who Loves the Lord with all of her heart. What a blessing.

     Our family had a mini tea party after Church and will have a slighty more formal on for supper. Dd has requested my wedding cookies and lemon bars. She doesn't want cake. I love her.

     Thanks for the prayers for dh. He is home and taking a nap. He worked 18 hours straight but was able to come in last night and sleep. PTL! We were able to go to Church as a family. What a blessing. His back is killing him (Chronic) but he is able to sleep and relax before having to start his normal workweek tomorrow. Please keep the people who are suffering from Ike in your prayers. God Bless. I

PTL for your dd. Sounds like you are trying to be a good mom. How blessed we are when are kids turn out right! You are on the right track. Just keep trusting the Lord and believing His Word. He will help you to raise a godly daughter as you seem to be doing. My dd and my baby is now 23, married, has a baby boy and they love and serve the Lord. We are so thankful!
