Waiting for a Package! The Excitement!

{ 11:32 , Wednesday, January 7, 2009 } { 0 comments } { Link }
There are so many exciting things in life!  For me, one of them is waiting for a package in the mail!  I know, it doesn't rival a new baby or climbing a mountain, but for this little homemaker...I LOVE packages!  And to be honest, I AM waiting for TWO package that should arrive...TODAY!

Both packages are from Vision Forum.  I will admit I am a teeny tiny bit miffed that the first package took so long to ship...but it's almost here now!  Yeah!!!

Right now, I have a beef stew in the oven that has been cooking since 7:45 this morning!  Whew!  We are going to dinner at some very dear friends' house, and taking the beef stew.  I made a HUGE pot on Saturday...but it didn't seem to LAST!  Glad my cooking is liked!

This morning, I had a pretty big "YEAH FOR AVERY" moment.  I KNOW that "pride comes before the fall" AND, that compared to most of you...this will be nothing.

BUT...for ME...this is a big deal. This morning....I made HOMEMADE "Egg McMuffins" (good bacon, f/r local eggs, cheddar cheese and good english muffins) for breakfast for husband BEFORE work!!! YEAH!!!
Normal breakfast for us on a weekday is...NOTHING! On a GOOD day is cold granola or something.
A HOT BREAKFAST!!! I am soooooo PUMPED!!! I only hope that I can keep this trend going and make something TOMORROW!!!

Yesterday, we did an (almost) complete inventory of Littlest Pet Shop pets.  So this morning, I have spent much of the morning listing MORE pets on our www.littlestpetshopfigures.com site.  Yeah!

Back to waiting...waiting...waiting!  :-)

Fireproof Becomes Top Grossing Independent Film in 2008

{ 04:54 , Monday, January 5, 2009 } { 3 comments } { Link }
IF I believed in "chance", I would say that it was by "luck" that my husband and ended up at the movie "Fireproof" only a few weeks ago.  But I DON'T believe in "change", "luck" or "flukes".  The Lord MENT for us to be at that movie.  Oh, and did I mention that it was at this family-run $2 theater?  It was GREAT!

Needless-to-say, as I clicked on www.visionforum.com a few minutes ago, I was soooooo excited to see a blog post by Mr. Phillips stating that "Fireproof" was the #1 grossing Indie film for 2008!!!  Whoooo hoooo!

If you have NOT YET seen this film.....GOOOOOOOO!

Here is the post by Mr. Phillips:

Fireproof Becomes Top Grossing Independent Film

The timing of this remarkable event could not be better.

For the first time in modern film history a distinctively Christian film is the undisputed top grossing independent movie of the year. The Kendrick brothers’ film Fireproof takes the #1 spot with $33,063,487 in gross receipts. All this on the advent of the 2009 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival where Fireproof will be competing with fifty other film releases for Best of Festival and the $101,000 grand prize.

Of the hundreds of films that were produced independently of the major Hollywood studio system (Universal, MGM, Paramount, Warner Bros, Disney, Sony Pictures, etc.) our Lord allowed Fireproof to beat out the rest at the box office during 2008. Praise the Lord.

TOP 10 INDEPENDENT MOVIES OF 2008

First Day (Ok, Second) of teh New Year...and Eggs in the Hole

{ 07:26 , Friday, January 2, 2009 } { 1 comments } { Link }
Good Morning!

Oh, yesterday was so much fun!  Daniel's dinner was just delicious!  Yum!  And of course, with the of my new "intentions"...get left this morning without any breakfast.

I MUST DO BETTER!  Breakfast MUST become a staple in our home.  Daniel works so hard, and I don't like to think of him running on "empty" or just "grabbing a bite" somewhere.

On another note....I have started my New Year with a thumbs-up on the laundry.  Even though I would like to get to the point where I only do laundry one day per week...say Monday--like the Amish women...it's not happening now.  And when Daniel looked at me this morning and said, "Do I have any clean work pants?", I just wanted to roll over and go back to sleep.

So before I even read my first email, I have a load in the dryer (washed last night) and a load of work-pants and skirts in the wash!  YEAH!  Dishes and laundry give me such a sense of accomplishment.

A kind reader has requested my Eggs-in-the-Hole recipe.  Personally, we use whatever bread we have on hand.  I LIKE to use my friend Susan's soaked, whole-wheat sourdough...but that's not always what I have available.

First, preheat your skillet and melt a tablespoon of butter in the pan.  Meanwhile, cut a hole in your break slices.  I use a glass about 2-2.5 inches in diameter.  Once the butter has melted, put the slices of bread in the pan.  I press down on the bread, to help it soak up the butter.  Think: grilled cheese sandwhich with only one piece of bread and no cheese!  :-)
Crack egg and drop egg yolk/white into the hole cut in the bread.  I usually wait to flip until the whites look as if they are almost solid.
ONce that happens, flip the bread/egg combo and cook another 2 minutes.
Serve!

Enjoy!

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

P.S.  Don't forget that I am running a 25% OFF MAGAZINE Sale on my www.forthekeeperathome.com website!

A New Year!

{ 06:26 , Thursday, January 1, 2009 } { 2 comments } { Link }
Can you believe that TODAY is the FIRST DAY of January....2009!!!  I can't!  I mean, where did September GO??

Husband's goal today was to not get OUT of bed until noon.  Well, the pups decided THAT wasn't going to work.  So, then he made the proclomation that he wouldn't do anything PRODUCTIVE until noon!

One of my goals for 2009 is to make WAY more of our food, and to eat-out MUCH less.  MUCH!  So this morning, we had Eggs-in-the-Hole made with local eggs (not ours) and my dear friend, Susan's, handmade soaked-grain sourdough bread. YUM!  For lunch, tuna sandwhiches.

For supper tonight, STEAK and potatoes.  For Christmas, I purchased an Omaha Steaks package for husband.  (We also bought one for my dad.)  I know the meat is irradiated... Tonight, we will be diving into those packages. For supper, we are having Filet Mignon and Stuffed Baked Potatoes.

I am so happy that we were able to take the pups on a walk this afternoon.  The weather was PERFECT!  Cold, but not too cold.  Poor Patchy.  We use Gentle Leaders on our babes.  Annie has has used one for walks since she was 12 weeks old.  This is only the SECOND time for Patchy, and she is almost a year.  Sham on us!  It took her almost the entire walk to settle-down.  Prayerfully, tomorrow will be better!

Husband is supposed to be starting the steaks soon.  I am having rumblies in my tumby!

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

I have got to learn how to go back to bed!

{ 06:27 , Tuesday, December 30, 2008 } { 1 comments } { Link }
Good Morning!

Husband had a therapy appointment at SIX AM this morning!!!  I have trouble sometimes going back to bed.  So here I am, with 2 sleeping dogs, trying to kill some time on the computer.

I was really excited to check my website (www.littlestpetshopfigures.com) this morning and find a $200 sale!  Whooo hooo!!  BUT, when I went to GoogleCheckout to verify the sale, Google has cancelled it.  :-(  Oh, well.

Two loads of dishes went through the dishwasher yesterday!  Oh, and I made shredded-pork BBQ!!!  My FIRST TIME EVER!!!  Husband LOVED it!  And our friend, Jim, also loved it!  Yeah!!!  Last night, we had BBQ sandwhiched and baked-beans.  Yum!  I accidently left the beans out all night on the stove, so I hope they are still good.

Today, I need to list some more clothing on our www.forthekeeperathome.com site.  I have boxes of clothing to list...and no one to do it but me.  Also, I want to do 2 more loads of clothes and empty the dishwasher.

That's all for now!

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

Ah, Church Shopping...

{ 07:15 , Saturday, December 27, 2008 } { Posted in Just Another Day } { 2 comments } { Link }
Is it too much to ask to find a conservative, KJV, men-only in leadership, family-integrated church within 30 minutes of us???  Oh, and one that won't question husband as to why I am covering?

Husband and I used to attend a Plain, formerly-Amish church.  We were never "members"...but were regular attendees.  After quite a bit of, ah, "stuff", that I won't go into...we are no longer really looking for the Plain church, as much as a "God-centered" one.

We did try one local "family-integrated" church.  The ladies were in pants, and the pastor used "legalism" and "fellowship-meal" in the same sentence.  It just wasn't for us.  :-(  Oh, how we wished it was...just 2 minutes away.

The nearest Charity Church is an hour away from us.  And another well-thought-of church is an hour the OTHER way.  We would really like to stay within 30 minutes or so.  I want to be close enough to FELLOWSHIP with the other women!!!

Ok, done with my rant.  Now back to searching and googleing.

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

Still Here! Fireproof, Christmas, Baking, Sewing...Did I Forget Anything???

{ 06:48 , Monday, December 22, 2008 } { Posted in Just Another Day } { 1 comments } { Link }
A date!  Yes, a REAL date!  First, dinner at a local Mexican restaurant.  And then, to the $2.50 theater for FIREPROOF.  If you have NOT seen this movie....GO.  RUN!  Wow!  As we were sitting there watching, I just kept feeling as if someone had been filming US!  And then, at the end...the tears just flowed.

Once we were on our way, I said, "Wow, I wish we had seen that movie when it first came out."  Husband said, "I wish we had seen it (had it been out) years ago."  This will definitely be one to go in our collection.  Afterward, we went to the Starbucks.  Husband was so cute.  When we walked in, he had to "go"...but as he walked by the cashier, he said, "DO NOT let her pay! Please."  :-)  He knew I would have!

Can you believe that Christmas is in THREE DAYS!!!  THREE DAYS!!!  I still have some sewing/baking to do!  YIKES!  Oh, and should i mention that I am STILL shopping ONLINE for gifts!  After our "experience" last night, I feel that I need one or two small things 'spiritual' for husband.  YIKES!

As for sewing, I need to make-up a few fabric baskets for husband's office co-workers, and get them filled with goodies.  Oh....did I mention that there are only 2 DAYS to do this!!!???!!!!????  Where have I been!

Well, it's 7:09am, and I am 9 minutes late for starting my "domestic duties" of the day.  Can you say "LAUNDRY"!!!  :-)

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

Whew! WAY TOO EXCITING for Me This morning!

{ 11:15 , Wednesday, December 3, 2008 } { 3 comments } { Link }

As I have been known to say, "I am just a little housewife!"  And this morning was no exception.  I was on my way to the Target (yes, one of my FAV stores), and went outside to start/warm my car.  No biggie.  Right?   WRONG!

About 5 minutes later, my neighbor is knocking on my door and says, "You car is in someone else's yard."

Yes, that's right.  My car had rolled DOWN my drive, taken a sharp left and gone into my neighbor's Honda.  And I could do was stand there and PRAISE THE LORD that my car didn't hit a single PERSON or HOUSE!!!  NO ONE was injured!!!  BOTH CARS are drivable and in easily-repairable condition!!!!  THANK YOU LORD!!!

I am having trouble with Photobucket AND my computer, so far I only have 1 pick uploaded.  Here it is:

This picture was taken AFTER my neighbor pulled her car forward so that I could pull off her lawn.  More pics are to come tomorrow AFTER my computer pulls itself back together.

Bascially, our rear driver-side bumpers collided and then my car turned and slid down the bumper of her car.  Then, her BUMPER hit the wheel-well of MY car and STOPPED my car!  (ok, so we all know that GOD did that...but he USED the bumper and teh wheel-well).  Did I mentin that the tire wasn't even flat???  Pretty much ALL damage IS COSMETIC!!!!!  Thank you Lord!

My insurance company is GREAT!!!  They are taking care of everything, which of course, I pay them to do.  AND, they are havign a rep come out TOMORROW!!!  How awesome is THAT!!!  A 24-hour turnaround!!!

Your VERY THANKFUL and Joyful Sister in CHrist,

Avery

Back into a Routine? Really? HAH! Something fun!

Good morning!

Breakfast was GOOD.  I mean, the FOOD was excellent!  The price was reasonable.  The conversation was...strained.  My dad's wife actually asked me if their visits stress me out.  Uh...YEAH!  But, I smiled and said, "No...of course they don't."  Yes, I just admitted in my blog that I lied.  I'm sorry.  But this is just not something that I will ever be able to tell them.

Oh, and somewhere Sunday night my keys were lost.  So Monday, I was car-less.  Ugh.  Of course, everything works out.  My trunk has problems latching.  So this morning, I prayed to God and asked him that I be able to get into my trunk.  YEAH!  It was unlatched!  THEN, I had to be able to get IN the car!!!  I ahve TONS of boxes with TONS of "stuff" in my car...and needless to say, getting IN the car...that was very difficult.  God was there with me to show me how.  At one moment, I DID get my arm caught between the seats.  :-)

Once in the car, I made my way to the front and was able to find my "spare" set stuff between the floor and the passenger seat.  YEAH!  Today I can GO SOMEWHERE!

But, right now, I am going to go down and clean out my old POCKETBOOK!  There must be $5-10 in CHANGE in teh bottom!  :-)

Oh, and the laundry...yes, that should be done too!

Wait, I forgot to tell yo uthe fun thing!!!  Every once in a while, I participate in a "FabHopShop".  www.fabhopshop.com  You go to online quilt sites and look for a rabbit.  This is about the 4th or 5th one I have done.  And THIS year...I WON a $10 Gift Certificate to one of the quilt stores!!!!!  It will only buy me about a yard of fabric there...but what FUN fabric!!!

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

Update: Family Visits, Day after Thanksgiving and a Heads Up

{ 09:38 , Sunday, November 30, 2008 } { Posted in Just Another Day } { 1 comments } { Link }

Hello!

Whew, is it cold and RAINY!  I feel so badly for the poor chickens.  And maybe just a little bit for me.  I think even my dearest husband has taken pitty on me...he's downstairs making me hot chocolate!!!!

Yesterday SHOULD have been a pretty clear-cut day.  My brother was going to come through town on his way home from TN and stop for lunch.  Then, Mom and Dad would stop for hugs, kissed and for Mom to pick some things up.  They would go on their way, and we would keep cleaning.

Oh, first you should know.  My dad was ADAMANT about staying at a hotel.  Sure, it HAS turned out to be good...but oh, were my feelings hurt.

So yesterday morning, in the midst of organizing, my dad calls and says that he is coming up for the day.  OOOOOKKKKKK  He gets directions...and then we don't hear from him.  Meanwhile, the Boy calls and he is a little over an hour away.  then we call my dad...he decides to come on up.  SOOOOO, then we call Mom and Dad.  They decide NOT to stop.  Drama there.  Boy, Husband and I go to eat.  Just as Mom & Dad stop at Eatery, Bio Dad calls and is lost.  Husband goes to meet him.  Brother ends up driving me home, and he gets things for mom.

My dad stayed 45 MINUTES.  MINUTES.  He drove over 2 HOURS to stay 45 minutes.  I know that I SHOULD be flattered.  But.  Well, I'm not.

I REALLY wanted to have them at teh house for supper.  Baked chicken, potatoes...yum.  NOPE...he was INSISTENT that his wife wanted to NOT eat at our house and wanted to eat out.  ANGER cannot express my feelings enough.  SURE, our house isn't big.  SURE, it's not even sparkling.  BUT, I have friends over all the time.  They OVER LOOK the messes because we are FRIENDS.  ugh

So they came.  We chatted awhile before going to the restaraunt.  And then went to eat.  My emotions are still so torn up, that I had just better not write about it now.  It WAS good.  And it WAS...oh, I don't know.

We are SUPPOSED to get together tomorrow for breakfast.  I asked them to come here...buty they would never commit to a time in the morning.  We'll see.  I really love my dad.  I do.  I'm sure that you must be thinking....SURE she does.  But I DO!  I just always feel like I am on pins and needles around him.  Like he's never REALLY listening to what I have to say.  Anyway, enough of that.

HEADS-UP!  CYBER MONDAY is upon us and I am doing a SECRET SALE!!!!  It's still a secret because I have NO IDEA WHAT the sale is going to be!!!   I am FULLY open to suggestions!  Check in the morning or on the homepage of www.littlestpetshopfigures.com and www.forthekeeperathome.com for details!

Thanks y'all for "listening".

Your Heart-torn Sister in Christ,

Avery

Disappointed, AND Angry!

{ 04:02 , Wednesday, November 26, 2008 } { Posted in Just Another Day } { 3 comments } { Link }

Have you ever had one of those moments where you wonder wether or not your family reads your blog?  I know my mom isn't really computer-savy enough to find it...and husband never really pays any mind.  But my dad...hmm.

Yes, today, I was stood-up.  And NO, I didn't get the phone call.  Ok, so I WAS 10-minutes late to the airport...not that they were expecting me.  And NO I didn't meet the flight.  BUT, we were SUPPOSED to go for lunch.

Today, Mom and Dad (my stepdad of 25 years) were headed through town on their way to the mountains for Thanksgiving.  Mom called and we set up a meeting at the Starbucks for hugs and kisses...and then they would be on their way.  They knew I was going to have lunch with my dad and his wife.  Well, at the very last minute, Daddy decided he wanted to go the Cracker Barrel for beans, instead of the 'Bucks for coffee.  NO problem.

We ate and joked about me leaving them to go eat again!  :-)  So back to the airport.  I pulled up to the airport about 10 minutes or so after their flight landed.  I figured they would still have to get their rental car and stuff.  So, after killing some time lookign for them, I called husband to get my dad's call number, and called.

Yes, they had already left the airport.  No, they wouldn't be stopping to have lunch with me.  Not even at teh Starbucks ON THEIR WAY for hugs and kisses.  I know I shouldn't be hurt.  Really.  I mean, I only see my dad 3 times per year.  But I WAS hurt.  And maybe am still...just a bit.

Ok, so there, I have that off my chest.  Thanks for reading.

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

Cleaning, Anyone? And PANIC!

{ 06:48 , Wednesday, November 26, 2008 } { Posted in Just Another Day } { 3 comments } { Link }

Yes, panic.  That would be a good word.  My dad and his wife are flying in today.  We will meet for lunch, and then they will drive down to her parent's for the holiday.  They will be back here on SUNDAY!  Yes, SUNDAY!  To SPEND THE NIGHT!!!

I was supposed to have "help" in cleaning our house.  But that has fallen through.  Oh, I know.  I have no one to blame but myself.  Really, I don't.  But I just don't know where to start.  Yesterday, I did 3 loads of laundry and ran 2 loads through the dishwasher.  I figure that has to be worth something!  Right???  AHHHHHHHH

So today, my MOM is also coming through town on her way to visit family.  I am sure that we will meet for breakfast or something.

This past weekend, we set up at a Toy/Hobby show. I always have such a ball seeing what people collect!  It's also so fun to see new toys that people have bought before I can get to the stores!  :-)  There are several other toy sellers that I have known for years.  We have a good-natured ribbing of "I got this first" or "what did you sell this for?" and just a bit of fun!

Well, I just took a homecleaning break.  I loaded the dishwasher.  It's running now!  I LOVE my dishwasher.  Back when we were active participants (non-members) of a Plain church...all appliances were considered "bad".  Now, I will admit...I would LOVE to one day live off-grid.  And would even love to join a Plain community.  But for NOW...my dishwasher and I are back to being the best of buds!

Since we did so much organization for the toy show, we "discovered" a TON of toys we didn't know we had!  Yeah!  Now...to get them all listed!  This week, I will be listing Disney's Cars cars on the www.littlestpetshopfigures.com site and some sewing items, such as thread, needles, notions and the like...maybe even some patterns, on www.forthekeeperathome.com site.  Sew much to do!

Oh, wait.  One more funny.  Yesterday morning, I fed the chickens some table scraps...but not their normal feed.  Last night, I said to husband, "Oh no.  You have got to go out and give the chickens their feed."  So dear husband trudges out in the COLD to feed teh chickens.  He came back in and said, "Whew!  They were mad!"  "Really?  I fed them some this morning," I replied.  "YES they were mad!  Big Red pecked me THREE TIMES just to let me know what she was thinking!"  Lesson learned!

Back to work!

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

Snow! Snow!

{ 07:33 , Friday, November 21, 2008 } { Posted in Just Another Day } { 2 comments } { Link }

Yes, this IS the week before Thanksgiving and YES I DO Live in North Carolina!  And we have SNOW!!!!

Ok, so it wasn't a LOT of snow.  But it WAS SNOW! In North carolina!  BEFORE Thanksgiving!  Now, before you say, "Man, Mrs B, those are some aweful pictures!"  I want you to know.  These were taken in the DARK, at 6:30 this morning (thank you puppy!).  But what a FLASH!

This is Puppy's first snow.  She was sooooo cute!  Annie Marie, on the other hand, HATES teh snow (and the rain, and the cold...).  You would think that with that fluffy fur coat, she wouldn't mind.  But no, not a snow lover.

Ok, just one more!

Have a happy and safe day!

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery

Yep, It's a Little Cold Here...and What's Been Going On!

{ 06:42 , Thursday, November 20, 2008 } { Posted in Just Another Day } { 1 comments } { Link }

Good morning!

I have VERY GOOD news....we found out that Husband does NOT have any major damage is his shoulder from the accident in AUGUST!  (Yes, you heard that right...it took till NOW for insurance to get us into a Dr!)  That aside, he has to do PT 1-2 times per week and is on some seriuos anti-inflammatoryage.

If you any suggestions of how to NATURALLY (by herb or diet) to work the work of anti-inflammatories at HOME without the harsh Rx, I would greatly appreciate them.

Last Sunday, we went to my BFF's house for church.  It was great!  Her husband has the gift of teaching/preaching/Bible study-leading.  Also, our friends and their babes were there (our "godbabies")...oh they have grown so much in the last two months!  I miss seeing them as much as we used to!

Patches Jean is really coming into her own.  Now if only she would STOP WHINING!  I LOVE her, I do!  But the WHINING has GOT TO STOP!  ahhhhhhhh  Annie Marie, on the other hand, only wants to sleep on the bed.  It's sooo cute!  She's NOT supposed to sleep on the bed.  And she KNOWS this.  So...at night, she will WAIT for husband to fall asleep, and then super stealthily, get on the bed at my feet.  Oh so quiet.  Well, as quietly as a 70-pound Akita can do!  :-)

I want to share some good news!  Our LittlestPetshopFigures.com site is doing well!  The are so many GREAT things in life.  ONE of them, is receiving that "You Have Had a Sale" email!  :-)

This upcoming week is going to be a BIG one!  First, Sunday we are going to church at another friends house.  THEN, they are going to "loan" me one of their fabulous daughters ot come and help clean my house on Monday!  Whooo hooo!  Thanksgiving will be spent with friends and then SUNDAY, my dad in MI and his wife are coming to stay the night.  This will be the first tiem they have been to uor house.  YES!  I SHOULD be cleaning the house like a mad-woman...but WHERE does one start?  SERIOUSLY!

Also, I have not been feeling well of late.  Mostly, it's the nausea that gets me.  :-(  And yesterday and this morning...the headaches/neckaches!  boo hoo

To end on a good note, even with nausea and a migraine last night, I managed to make some REALLY GOOD beef stew.  Ok, so husband had to help roast the veggies when he came home from work because I was so sick.  But the STEW was excellent!!  (Thank you to my dear friend Susan for her recipe that she recited to me over teh PHONE WHILE I was standing in teh grocery store!)

(Raising my "Emergen-C"-filled glass) Here's to a beautiful and blessed day!

Feeling Better, Going Nowhere and Sewing

Good morning!

I am sure that y'all are sick of me writing this, but it's a BEAUTIFUL (and crisp) morning here in NC!  Well, it IS!  Ok, so it was so cold that husband had to defrost his windows AND I can see my breath...but isn't that what winter is all about?

An Update on me.  I had my final appointment on Friday.  PA Chelle says that all is looking good with the MRSA and to just keep on eye on things.  She showed me how to change the packing.  Ewwwww.  Thankfully, I don't have to do THAT anymore...now I just have this big hole in my leg.  :-)

This weeking, we went to Market.  I am soooo excited!  Husband and I have made friends with this REALLY NEAT older couple at Market.  She bakes and he is a beekeeper!  They invited us to Thanksgiving dinner at their house.  How fun!  My family is going to be out-of-town AND I have my dad and step-mom coming to visit later in the weekend...so this works out GREAT!

I did manage to get some sewing done this weekend.  But I wished someone would have reminded me of the #1 rule of sewing!  No, it's NOT "measure twice, cut once", it's "DON"T SEW WHEN YOU ARE TIRED"!!!  Yes, I was sewing the crotch of a pair of pajama pants for husband, and for some reason, AFTER I had some the reinforcement seam, could not figure out HOW the pants were going to work!  It seemed like I had done them backwards!  Sew, of course, I pulled out the two seams.  Only to wake up the next morning and figure out what was what!  Yes, I had to resew teh pants JUST as I had done before!  grrrrrrrrr

Oh, and THEN, I ran out of elastic!!!!  Pout pout

Today is LAUNDRY DAY!  I want to get ALL the laundry done.  No exceptions!  I am almost out of my Seventh Gen soap...so now i go to the Trader's Joes gallon, which will last a month or two...for only $8!

On one last fun note....don't you just LOVE getting PACKAGES in the mail????  I do!  "Mail" can contain bills or junk...but a PACKAGE is almost ALWAYS something fun!!!  Last week, I received several pieces of fabric in teh mail.  But Saturday has long been expected!!!  Ready??  This wonderful package of FOUR "Keepers at Home - Stepping Stones Handbook"s AND 2 "Parent's Guides" arrived!!!  I can't wait to get them on the site!  Though, I must admit that I am REALLY tempted to keep one for myself!  :-)

Happy Monday!

Your Sister in Christ,

Avery
