Is it just me?

Do you also get lost in seed catalogs? Do you sit there planning the ultimate garden? I had soo much fun yesterday looking at seed catalogs online. I wish we had a bigger area to garden in. We are talking about expanding our garden so that we can grow some more things. My oldest son(7) told us yesterday that he is "ready to have his own flower garden". Of course the other 2 chimed in saying that they were also ready. I think that we are going to do some square foot gardening with the children for their flower gardens. We are going to keep them out front. We need to remove some rather large azalea bushes. I have no idea how we are going to do this. When they cleaned up the yard next door it took a truck to get the roots out of the ground. I would also like to change my front walk, but I don't know.

Our children have had their own little plot of dirt before too--what fun they had--and what a learning experience for them!
Have that camera ready for that first bunch of flowers they bring their mama!! Priceless! ;)
Enjoy--such fun planning!

My daughter is thrilled about gardening again this year. We're going to use her old leaky wading pool for her flower bed. He favorite garden to create is the three sisters garden (corn, squash and beans)-it was a wonderful learning experience for her as she learned about the native tribes from which it came from (which happen to be part of her heritage)
