Finding Contentment

A contented woman

I was reading Barb's blog over at A Chelsea Morning when I discovered that her husband recently lost his job (I haven't been keeping up with my blog reading). Her blog entry reminded how much I really have to be thankful for. Her husband has been laid off three times in the past year! And boy, did I feel ashamed when I saw that she was taking everything in stride and relying on God. She posted this verse:

A CONTENTED WOMAN

I have learned to be satisfied
with the things I have
and with everything that happens.

Being satisfied with everything that happens. I guess that includes job (and income) loss. Have you ever noticed my user name and the name of my blog? ... "Finding Contentment." One day soon I will explain why I chose that. Today, I will pray that God will help me "be satisfied with the things I have and with everything that happens."

After all, just look what I do have:
