I thought I was a STAY AT HOME mom! It's been almost a week since I posted, but I haven't had a minute to myself! Last week I had something at the church almost every single day. We were preparing for a yard sale to benefit the Cub Scouts, which took place Saturday. Anyway, last week went like this: Sunday - VBS meeting, church conference Monday - Cub Scouts Tuesday - Pastor search committee meeting Wednesday - Nothing at the church, but the power was out for a while because lightening struck a nearby transformer. Did I mention the power went out in the middle of cooking dinner? I had a casserole in the oven! Thursday - Spent five hours at the church moving yard sale stuff from the third floor to the main floor and then pricing it. Friday - Spent four hours moving yard sale stuff to the fellowship hall and arranging it on tables. We had originally planned to have the sale outside but they were calling for rain. Saturday - Spent nine hours at the church handling the sale and then cleaning up afterward. Sunday - The most important day to be in church, and I wasn't there... Caught a bug from my youngest son. Usually I don't get sick, but I think I was stressed and exhausted. Monday - Shopping for my daughter's birthday party, even though I didn't feel well. Tuesday - baked birthday cake (from scratch of course), pastor search committee meeting And now it time to go to bed and prepare for tomorrow. I will get up and make the icing for the cake, decorate the cake, go to the store for a couple of last minute things, make potatoes salad, deviled eggs etc., have birthday party/cookout with Hawaiin Luau theme for daughter (who will be 15). I'll post again as soon as things calm down. Maybe I'll have pictures of the luau - if I don't forget to take some! Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 116 of 168 } { Next Page } |
