Thirteen Things I Love About Where I Live

{ 06:25, Thursday, August 17, 2006 } { 4 comments } { Link }

1.  The peace and quiet, at times it is so amazing

2.  Our farm...can't really have one of those in the city, lol

3.  The wildlife, you can sit on the front porch and watch momma deer with her little one within a stones throw.

4. The star! So bright and beautiful, almost like you can reach right up and grab one!

5. Being in a really small town means a close knit community and that is comforting.

6.  Well Water!!!!

7.  My dogs can run, I don't have to keep them chained up

8  The kids can play outdoors and I never have to worry about them

9  The simplicity and slow paced life we love

10 We don't use many curtains, so we can see the beauty of the hills

11.  The Mom and Pop store in town we shop at...no big grocery stores here! unless you travel 30 to 40 minutes.

12  we "own" our farm and land (as of this year!!!!!!!)

13.  This is where my heart is!

Wednesdays Question

If you came into some money and could do one new thing to your homestead, what would it be?

We would fix up our old barn that we only use to store hay and pigs on one side.   The roof needs some work and the milking equipment needs to be updated if we decide to milk cows again.
