• Friday, April 4, 2008 - quick update on the farm
Well Beth came home yesterday from New York. She had a really good time. I thought she was going to back out but she didn`t. I am just glad she is back.
Sam and I have been working on the upstairs hallway closet. I still have a little painting to do in the hallway. The closet is almost done all he has to do is put the door up. It is a good size closet and I can store a lot of stuff. I am using it tho for my sewing and fabrics. Which I have been storing all that in my room. I cleaned out the downstairs closet, my bedroom closet and the girls closet and all the stuff I donated to my friends church. They are a small country church and they helped out a lot of families this past year. Their funds are running a little low, so they are going to have a yard sale to raise some money. They let people come and get what they want and it is by donation. But anyway, I had my car loaded down with stuff for her. I plan on having a bunch more. I am going though my homeschooling books and other books. Whatever else I can find.
I managed to get my strawberry plants out today. I just hope they don`t get washed out with the rains we are suppose to get tonight. I think, someone said we are to get another 3 inches. We woke up this morning with flooding. Water everywhere. Water running out of the banks of the creek. I was afraid it was going to get up to our dog Max and in the chicken coop. Thankfully it didn`t. We have a huge mess to clean up. We are never going to get any plowing done or tilling because the ground is so soaked. That is how it usually goes. Really wet spring and dry summer. Well guess that is it for now.
I am a stay-at-home, Christian homeschooling mom. My husband and I have been married for 19 years. We have been blessed with three kids, ages 18, 10 and 8. We live on a family farm and have several animals. I`m just a simple farm gal, who loves her God, family, friends and life.

We have been getting a lot opf rain too. The country roads here were flooded today.
We have been putting out onions, lettuce, and some grape vines. I also have planted some bulbs for summer flowers.
