I just realized I have been blogging on here a year today. I have meet some really super people on here. I have also learned a lot. Anytime I have need help, I have always gotten it here. Thanks to everyone. I do wish I had a lot more to blog about but I live just a simple life and not much really goes on here. Maybe it does and I just don`t think its anything. I did forget to tell you all the story of dh and me looking for a cow one night. It was about 9:00pm. There was a full moon. Our cow that is pregnant wasn`t over at the barn with the other cows. So dh decided we better go look for her, with this being her first calf. He was also afraid dogs,or coyotes might get it once it was born. So off we go, walking stick in hand and flashlight. Up and down the hills. Though the bush and creek, which is dried up. Though the sawbriers. Because you know a cow always has to have their calves where they are well hid. No luck. She was no where to be found. Dh thought she might be futher in the pasture in wooded part. I thought , oh no, not another hill. Dh decided to go down the steep hill to the pond to see if she was down around it. Guess what, no cow. Surprise! Surprise! Ok, by this time, I am tired and wanting to go. DH too. We head off to the barn. Well guess who was at the barn with the other cows. Yelp, there she was and no calf. It is so much fun looking for a cow in the dark.
I guess every once and awhile something exciting does happen on our little homestead.
Oh gosh, that is too funny...now! Bet it wasn't at the time. It reminds me of a time we were chasing cows in the dark. I even drew a picture for the story when I wrote about it on another blog. Maybe I'll share it on mine.
I like that story. I can see you two out in the moonlight walking through the sticks. It sounds exciting and kind of romanticLOL, to a country girl. I guess a city girl might not see it that way.
