• Sunday, November 23, 2008 - Thanksgiving dinner menu
I finally sat down and came up with my menu for Thanksgiving dinner. I still haven`t decided to cook it at my house or cook at my aunts house. My aunt is going to be gone but my mom is staying with my papaw. Since he is unable to come down to my house, I will either have to cook there or cook here, take everything up there. Course, she only lives two mins away. I live at the bottom of the hill and she lives at the top.
Here is what is on the menu so far;
Deep Fried turkey
corn
green beans
mashed potatoes
gibble gravy
homemade rolls ( Sunday rolls)
cornbread dressing
emerald salad
sweet potato casserole
pecan pie
pumpkin pie
cake
punch, pop, and coffee
We may come up with some stuff but I think, that will be plenty.
I have my christmas tree up. It is my Charlie Brown tree. Well, that is what hubby calls it. I just put up a primitive tree this year. I like it. Different. I put up some decoration today.
I will be doing my cleaning this week. I hope to get my carpet shampooed in the living room. Sometimes I feel like I will never get caught up. lol I guess everyone feels that way from time to time.
I am a stay-at-home, Christian homeschooling mom. My husband and I have been married for 19 years. We have been blessed with three kids, ages 18, 10 and 8. We live on a family farm and have several animals. I`m just a simple farm gal, who loves her God, family, friends and life.
