I have been working in corn for the last two days. I put up 23 bags in the freezer yesterday. I have two big pan fulls of corn cooling right now. Hopefully I will get another 23 bags. I will have a lot to put up. My corn has done good this year.
I picked another 5 gallon bucket full of green beans and I will be canning them tomorrow. I should get about another 14 quarts. I have already canned 34 quarts. I hope to can at least, 100 quarts.
On Tuesday, I canned 7 quarts and 15 pints of hot pepper, green tomato kraut. I still have some late cabbage in the garden and when it is ready I will be making more kraut.
I still haven`t butchered my meat birds. I really need to get that done sometime this week. My tomatoes will be ready to can Monday or Tuesday. My tomatoes really didn`t do good. I won`t have a lot to can. I am just thankful for what I do have. Well I have to go put the corn in freezer bags.
I am a stay-at-home, Christian homeschooling mom. My husband and I have been married for 19 years. We have been blessed with three kids,ages 18, 10 and 8. We live on a family farm and have several animals. I`m just a simple farm gal, who loves her God, family, friends and life.
