House Update
We looked at the house on Friday evening and made an offer on the house.  The area is a little.....primitive? But that doesn't bother me, because I would rather it be that way than hoity-toity.  The property is weird too, with how the house is set up on it, but it is still "agricultural" so I can have chickens and goats if I want to.  And yes, I want to....eventually.  Some land has to be cleared out first though.  There is a lot of woods. And this is all depending on whether we actually get it....meaning they accept our offer.

BECAUSE after the house has been on the market since April, someone else has made an offer on the same exact weekend that we did.  SIGH!!!!!!!  Well, maybe it's more of a GROAN!!!!!!  :D  We find out tomorrow probably whose bid they accepted.  We're hoping ours just because we have no contingency, except that the seller pay closing costs.  The house is a foreclosure property so the seller is a mortgage company that will pay up to 3% of the price of the house for closing costs. I guess it is just a waiting game.

I haven't let myself think about it too much, just because I don't want to get my hopes up.  It seems to good to be true that we actually might be purchasing a home in the country.  In fact, Eric has wanted to talk about it more than me!  I just wanted to get it off of my mind for the weekend.  I was actually able to, which is a miracle in itself.  I'm sure however it ends out will be fine though and we will, actually, still go on breathing and living.  :)

I have been in your shoes! Our family is about to celebrate our first year in our new home...all because of a blown breaker! We found the house on-line and went to see it, called to ask a realtor we had been working with to let us see inside, fell in love with it only to find out the next day that there was already an offer on it. We were crushed! Then, about a week later, our realtor called back to say the house was back on the market. Seems the prospective buyers wanted the owners to fix the broken jetted tub. The tub held water but the jets didn't work. The owners said they weren't going to fix it and the buyers backed out. When we went back with our realtor to look around and put our offer in, the realtor went downstairs to look at the breaker box. He saw one breaker in the "off" positon...flipped it and sure enough...the jetted tub spurted to life! Our offer was accepted and we moved in a month later. All because of a blown breaker! If it's meant to be for your family it will happen! Good luck. I can't wait to check back and see how it went!

Good luck, but just remember that if it doesn't work out, God has something better in mind for you.

Connie- That is so funny how people can be so particular. We had someone back out of a house we were selling once because of a few things that they didn't like, including the switchplates on one switch in the bathroom that we hadn't gotten to yet. I guess they didn't have a screwdriver?

Kitty- I'm alright with whatever happens, but it does seem like the door always slams shut in our face when we try to buy a property. It would be nice, for once, if we actually get what we bid on! :)

looks like you might be close to me! what city is this in? I had to laugh at your "primitive" comment, you can't possibly be looking in Spring Hill! Anyway, we have been through the broken pump and everything else, be happy to help advise where we can, hey, also, our oldest daughter is our worship leader at our church, she writes the songs the Lord gives her, blessings, Penny
