Winging It

ANOTHER blog!

Six pregnancies must be taking their toll on the old grey matter.  Earlier this year I started to blog here but after neglecting to post for several months, have failed to remember anything about it ... title, username, password, the lot!  I should be very worried.

I don't really have much time to blog but do enjoy reading other peoples and usually glean some help or encouragement from my random clicking.  This ring sling came in this afternoons post which might free up some time and leave my hands free to catch up on chores.  The kids (who are blogging over at homeschool blogger) want to be able to leave me comments too.

Whilst I'm not really a homesteader (or very organised/domesticated for that matter), I do aspire to these things and am currently learning how to use a sewing machine, patchwork and preserve ... skills I was never taught  which I would like to be able to pass on to my daughter.  Yesterday I visited a friend (a real homesteader who should be blogging here) and her beautiful home reinspired me.  Tomorrow the kids will be posting photos of their visit for Show & Tell where they learned how to make Irish potato bread on a griddle over the fire.  Go to their blogs for a sneak look at D & J's home.  They built it themselves and it is hard to believe that it is a brand new home, as it has all the charm and character of a period cottage. 

Now it is time to hit the hay.

Well hello there,
I am glad your kids got you on a blog again. I was wondering who is this wonderful lady that has these GREAT kids that joined my S&T. [0= I do hope you can blog here and there. I too am trying to learn all kinds of homesteading skills. Some things my mom taught and a lot I have had to learn else where.

You and me both, about not blogging over here. Although I DID post an entry the other day, since Jocelyn was supposed to be doing a homestead blogging carnival. But my last entry was back in August! AUGH! I usually blog on homeschoolblogger, but i have an account here, too. :-)
If you go to Mary's S&T and click SuzyScribbles, you can see my Homeschool blog account. I also have a writing workshop blog for the kids. I must be nuts. I can't hardly keep up with them. I have this homestead blog because we eventually plan to move over to our 14 acres in Eastern WA for good. Nice to meet you!
