Description: 7.15 mile run, 70 min. Tried out my new Asics and they are a 1/2 size up...that was rough. I bought them thinking they'd be a better fit but I fussed with them during the 2nd half of my run. I'll have to stick with the 8's.Walked 1 mile too.
Chris was pleased with his uro appt. The md will remove the stone if and when Chris is ready.

Slow recovery ride, took it easy on the hills as well. Legs still beat up from the half mary.
pm~"fun" ride with natalie. Well, it wasn't really fun this time. She was grouchy and then around mile 5 she had a bike spill. Again, her knee is shredded. This was a bad time. I had to go get the minivan and pick both her and the bike up.
Working tonight a short shift @ rehab.
Waiting to see what happens at Chris's doc appt re: his kidney stone.

Description: 1500 yards @ ymca- finally didn't have to circle swim 250 each of pull, fins, breast, and the rest free.
Natalie had a great day today~ she made first chair in 2nd row ("fifth chair") clarinet. she also rocked tonight with her Butterfly stroke- her instructor even used her as an example.
CJ on the other hand is not happy about the swimming. He says he has to work too hard and "can't breathe". He started Trumpet and looks so cute holding it :) They aren't actually "playing" the instruments yet, since the 4th graders are mostly brand new to their chosen instruments. He is doing very well in school- the last 2 Friday folder assessment sheets were wonderful & he's been working hard.

Terrible night last night for Chris Sr. Another round of kidney stone pain led him to the ER last night. He has an appt. with his MD tomorrow but in the meantime he thinks the stone may have moved a bit. He's on pain meds for a couple days, so hopefully he can pass the stupid stone pain-free. |

Natalie and CJ ran the 1 mile race first. More photos to follow~ Chris has the other ones! CJ did very well- reallly stayed up in front. HOWEVER poor Natalie, who has run the race before, tripped and FELL, scraping both knees and her wrist :(( Needless to say, it slowed her down big time. So I spent some time cleaning her wounds and Chris took her and CJ to the car for the first aid kit.
I was almost late for the half-mary line up but made it just in time. I ran slow but steady, with a few short walk breaks and lots of water/gel/gatorade stops. Did not experience nausea or dry-heaves at the end of the race this time :)
All of us are ready to eat and nap. I feel so bad that Natalie, looking forward to this race, had such a bad time :( Plus, she wasn't feeling well these past few days either.
1 mile results!
