I have a book. Well, several books:) These books are simply journals that I have written, over the years, all the poems, thoughts, quotes and scriptures that have touched me. I keep these journals readily available for anyone to read:) I enjoy seeing friends and family and even new visitors thumbing through them and gleening a little here and there of the words of encouragement, wisdom, sorrow and joy.

The other day I was reading through and found one that truly touched me yet again. Renewing my love for this online correspondence world that has led me to meet many lovely and wonderful friends who have blessed me one way or another:)

So this is for you!

I have found that friends who live

One thousand miles away

Have added color to my life

Through written words each day.

They always show more interest

Than friends along the street

Who do not know my thoughts at all

Though many times we meet.

I've found companionship so dear

Through looked-for envelopes

Containing inspiration of

My deepest dreams and hopes.

I would not trade this priceless gift

For anything on earth.

Because through correspondence I

Have found what friends are worth!
