Just more doin's

Blessings All!

   Well, the last few days have been busy...and sore:P

   Tuesday, we went strawberry and pea picking with my friend CaraDD and her littles. We picked 15 pounds and they got something like 25 pounds or so. I think more went inside the littles than in the boxes:)

   Then my Sarah and her boy got a little sidetracked and began to have a throwing distance contest with the rotton strawberries:) I'm pleased to announce...Sarah throws like a girl:P The boy definitely has an arm! hehe

   After picking strawberries we jumped over to the next field (it was actually just a few steps over from where we were) to pick peas. It seems we were a little late on the pea pickin as the "pickins were slim". Anyway, we get over to the field and a little breeze comes up. We look over in the distance and you could see that wall of rain heading our way. One of the children asked me how long did I think it would take till it was upon us and I told her 5 minutes, maybe 10 but when it got to us it was going to be a gully washer.

   Sure enough 5 minutes later it was sprinkling pretty hard and fast. We all ran to the cars, drove over and paid for our goodies and just as we started to drive out of the farm KABOOSH! It was pretty spectacular:) (and wet:s)

   We drove over to pick up a quick meal on our way home. It was pouring so hard I lost sight of the lines in the road momentarily. We got out in the parkinglot and it just seemed to get harder:) (I love the rain). I think we spent about 20 minutes inside and came out to a little bit of sun peeking out here and there:)

   We got back to my house where we had our usual coffee and chat before they had to run. We always enjoy them coming by. It seems God decided we needed some like hearted folks in our lives and boy am I glad He picked someone I liked;)

   Just a quick word...here in Oregon we live by the 10/10 rule...if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes or drive 10 miles:) God is good:)

I love it, 10/10, I'm going to have to remember that. But I have to say that here in La, it's pretty much the same all over, HOT. LOL
