Be Ye Separate

A slow a blessed day:)

Blessings Brothers and Sisters, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour!

   Our day has just been slow today. What a real blessing:) With a bit of the planting done and only having to work with the animals and some watering we can have a bit more time throughout our day for family activities.

   The milking had been done and kitchen cleaned from breakfast, the sweeping done and things put right, we had gone out to have a coffee on the back deck overlooking our little farm. The chickens are usually in their pen but now that they are bigger and I don't have to worry about critters getting to them in the daytime, we left their gate open to the yard. Slowly they meandered through the gate, one at a time, waiting for the bravest of them to take that first step:) Now they are all out in the yard wandering around scratching and eating. It's so wonderful to see the transformation of our little place. What was once a barren field out back of a house with a shabby little outbuilding, is now a living, active, fulfilling homestead:)

   It is nearly 90 out but we have a sweet and fresh cool breeze coming over the hills through the little valley we call home. The sun is shining, the animals are resting round about the pens and all is well:)

   Today, the girls and I are planning on doing a bit of sewing. I have several dress orders to get out and I really need a few dresses myself. I'm afraid I'm awful hard on them:P I also need a couple aprons. My most favorite apron has been deligated as a strict work apron now. It's just too shabby to go out in public in that anymore. Brother Craig (as well as my dear friend:P)protested the other day and so it goes:)

   We are planning on taking a few days to go look at land this weekend. We'll be leaving (hopefully) tomorrow morning and be back on Saturday. That is if everything goes according to plan:) We know, however, that life is what happens while you're busy making other plans:) Lord willing it will work out:) If not?...there's always next time:)

Have a wonderful trip dear Sister and I look forward to hearing all about your sewing! What items do you sell? Perhaps your work will spur me on to get my own sewing finished!

Praying the rest of your day was as peaceful as your morning sounded...I let the misses and mister out in late afternoon and if I forget to cage them back, they want to tear up my flower beds...lol. .Debbie
