Blessings!

This has been a very difficult day yet so wonderfully rewarding...What an Awesome God we serve!:)

My dearest friend phoned to say she needed to take her dog to the vet. It just so happened that her vet is MY vet:) She came by and since I had to pick up feed for the animals I offered to run her down there in my car. (My care has more room for all our children AND the feed;))

It was a drop-in so we had quite a wait. The entire time I had such an urging but wasn't quite sure what it was about. So I waited and just prayed quietly while we waited.

I thought that maybe the urging was to speak to my vet so I got up and asked if he was in. No...he was on vacation and wouldn't be back until Tuesday and did I want to confirm my appointment for that day? I figured that was it so I said yes. They confirmed the time and I went back to sit down.

Suddenly it occurred to me that I was asking the wrong question! I got up and asked if they could show me the report on the goat. They pulled the file and I asked if they could share with me why the doctor had said he wasn't sure the test was correct but they couldn't find the notation that I had been told about.

I explained to them that our concern was that the goat had been tested positive for CL which meant that we needed to keep her isolated until the retest. I wanted to know if it was possible to get a false positive from a direct test to the abcess and NOT a blood test? She didn't know. I looked at the chart and couldn't make heads or tails of it. I saw lots of numbers and latin words:)

Anyway, I asked if there was someone I could speak to. She came back and said that the vet on call wanted to speak to me personally. He came out and we sat down to go over the chart. He said that he had no idea how the wires got crossed but the test wasn't positive at all! WHAT!?! He showed me where the vet who had checked the charts may have misread it but that in fact she has a 4+ rated staph infection! WOW!

So the greatest news ever! Our little Nigerian is no longer on death row! We don't have to let the pens fallow for 6 months, we don't have to disinfect and burn everything (Including her):)

God is sooooooooooo good! Thank you Lord Jesus for lifting my prayer to the Father! Thank you Father God for causing the Holy Spirit to urge me in this! Thank you all for praying for us...God really does hear us:)

So the shunt is out, the goatie is healing nicely, she will be sent back into her pen with her pals in just a few days:) We no longer have to throw out the other girls milk, we are so very blessed tonight!

I thought you would all want to know:)

   God be with thee!

Glad to hear it!

God is in even the "small stuff" of life! Nothing can be considered too unimportant to Him!

Keep on trusting! Your faith is a blessing to me as I read! :-)

I really enjoy reading your blogg.... Since I left the Mennonite church I really havent socialize with many people and this has been an uplift for me. This has been a true Blessing for me. God Bless you and your family,,,Please keep me in your prayers.
Your Sister in Christ, Nancy

~~ Sister Nancy, Know that you are in our purposed prayers here. Remember that Mennonite is no different than Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran or any number of other "names" that folks call their religion. Always remember that faith is not a religion:)
I do understand about not having many folks to fellowship with. We have been very blessed recently with our fellowship but for many years we were quite alone in our faith, It can seem quite lonely but I found that the fellowship I shared with my Saviour filled the void I felt for those many years.
God bless you real good!
God be with thee!
