Well as you all know, we bought 11- 4 month old hens and one rooster a week ago and made a temporary shelter for them within our goat pen/yard.  Well yesterday, on FREECYCLE, I found more chickens only they were ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!!  Also, we got a wide variety and the people that had them were very nice and very helpful.  Their 13yr old son is in 4H and wanted to reduce his flock as he had tons of chicks hatching and wanted to cut down on his costs to prepare for his new upcoming flock.  We left there with atleast 23 (that we cold count) chickens last night.  It is hard to count them when they are running around at once!  LOL!  :-)  We got  avariety between the following:

blue andalusian hen & rooster
 Silver grey dorking hens
While silkie bantam hen
Black Frizzled bantam hen and rooster
Buff Cochin bantam hen
Golden Pencil Hamburg rooster
10-12 mixed varieties bantam and standards - 10 weeks old

They also have 3 pekin ducks - the two girls should be laying soon, but we didn't have room so we told them to let the next person on the list have them and that id they didn't want them we woudl come back for them.  :-)

 We put them all in the goat yard for now as they can go into the barn with the goats but we want to keep them seperate (as much as we can from the hens we got last week).  Soooooooo, we have got to get a cop and chicken run built very soon!  :-)
