October 1, 2008
Here it is, I felt I had to blog this entry:

This was the largest re-enlistment ceremony ever held in military history.   The ceremony was held on the 4th of July, 2008 at Al Faw Palace, Baghdad, Iraq . General David Petraeus officiated. This amazing story was ignored by the 'mainstream' media.

For those who have been in the Al Faw Palace, you'll have a better appreciation of the number of people crammed around the rotunda supporting the re-enlisting soldiers.

American men and women volunteering to stay longer in Iraq, so that

when we leave, the new democracy will have a chance of surviving,

is the exact opposite of what the media and a certain presidential candidate wants you to think about Iraq and our military.  If a bomb had killed 5 civilians in a marketplace - now that's the kind of news the media is eager to tell you about.

A pizzeria in  Chicago donated 2000 pizzas that were made and shipped toBaghdad , and were delivered on the 4th. The media did report that 2000 pizzas were sent to  Iraq on July 4th...  The only part they left out of the report was the event for which the pizzas were sent.

I can't help but wonder...

What would the opinion of Americans be if they

weren't getting such obviously biased 'news?'

My Hubby wasin the miltitary for 10 1/2 yrs. He felt it his duty to serve our nation. He got out to spendtime with our familyb'c he was gonemuch of our first 10 years of marriage (I think a little over 5 years between trainingand missions). I am so thankful for all the men and women that chose to sevre our country. I hate that the media spins the war. It just upsets me how some treat our military. Well, Hubby is now a police officer who is now up in Indy to become a State Policeman. I know he has a heart to serve and protect the people of this world and feel blessed to have married such a wonderful man.
Pray for our nation,
Kristen

Unfortunately, too many American's are under satan's spell.
We have convinced ourselves that we too, can be like God.
(Sound familuar? Adam? Eve?)

We are too submerged in media. Movies, TV, DVD's, Magazines, News print, The Internet.............

Only His Chosen Remnant picks up His Holy Word, and gets their news (Truth, I might add) there....
Key word being, Remnant.

God Bless the men and women who serve our country and the people in our country. Even the ones that don't deserve it!

I can not wait to show this picture to my husband. He is scheduled to deploy to Iraq for the second time in May of 2009. He too will reenlist while over there. I just love these men, who willingly give their all for a people who so many of, do not appreciate them. Our family and many others appreciate them more than words will ever say!!!
Thank you for sharing.

October 4, 2008 - The Truth outside mainstream media. Reality versus Truthiness.

Posted by Hisirishgem

I whole-heartedly agree, our nation is too focused on mainstream media's portrayal of what our nation is instead of reading the facts outside that mainstream, educating themselves on TRUTH.

My blog is dedicated to those who serve. I do not take it for granted. I'm honored and grateful. Just as Jesus gave His life for a greater cause, there are many men, women and children who put their lives at risk to defend and keep safe, the American public. Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard, Firemen, Poliecmen, and other medical staff make me proud to be an American and for their hard work, and for Gods glory, I pray I give back with the gifts I've been given to make America a better place.

Thank You for your post!

Rebekah

Welcome! I'm glad you stopped by to visit me here in Southern Mississippi! I love the country life. The scenery is beautiful, with moss-covered, old oak trees and a sky so big that the stars go on forever at night. I hope you come see me regularly and I will be visiting you too!
