Magnetic Hill and graduation picturesHello all, we had a great week here, hope you did too. Big Miss had a lovely time at her prom and looked so beautiful. It seems like time is zipping by and now she will be graduating next month! Already! Ahhh, I just can’t seem to slow it down…. Well we all made it to Magnetic Hill and had a fun time trying to decide exactly what it was that we experienced. Magnetic Hill is in the “Oklahoma Curiosities” book that I told you about a while back. In the book it says that there is legend that in the small town Of Springer, you can go to this one particular road and stop at the bottom of the hill and a magnetic force will draw you back up it at speeds of up to 15 mph! Well, we found the place and at the bottom of the hill did exactly what we were told to do and sure enough we were pulled back up the hill while in neutral. After being shocked and screaming and doing the whole “Oh my gosh I can’t believe it” thing. We decided to investigate further. So we went down the hill to the other side and sure enough looking from the other side what we saw was not a hill but a down slope. It looks uphill one way and down the other. Hmmm… Our conclusion is that it is the best optical illusion we have ever seen! Just too cool. If you get a chance … do it, you won’t be disappointed.
This week I have a couple new recipes given to me by She is sharing a couple new recipes with me this week and they will be on the menu. Dr. Pepper cake, in which pop in the cake is not so much makes it but cream cheese and chocolate in the same frosting. Imagine?! Randy will be in heaven for sure. Also our New Recipe Thursday recipe will be another she sent my way that a friend shared from our women’s bible study group, “Charleston’s Baked Potato Soup”. I will leave you with few photos taken for college Son’s upcoming graduation and they turned out nice as well.
