Rain! and my recycled bike

Rain -yes beautiful rain fell here all week-end. The trees are happy and all of outdoors are dancing in delight. We are so thankful!

DS came from college and I kid you not -I must have had to do 16 loads of laundry for him (well, he did help a tad bit) but I was so glad to have a dryer inside, with all the rain we would not have got it all dry on the line. He has headed back to his apartment with fresh laundry and excitement for his second week into his second year.

Of all the flowers I planted this year, only the vinca's have survived the pups. And that was because they were in the bike. See:

They are much bigger and prettier now as this was when I first did the bike at the beginning of the summer. This is the bike my dh dug out of a dump and put back together for me to paint and fix up. Isn't he great!?
