I am back and busy week

We are home! We had a great time traveling and seeing family. After camping a few days at Turner Falls Park we were able to make it to Arkansas to see Sunshine and dad. The annual river trip was cancelled because of baby chicks and turkeys and high gas prices.... maybe we can make it next year. The chicks and moms made it ok while we were gone (all but 1 -it is missing) and 2 of the turkeys were attacked and killed by something..?, we are not sure what. The 100+ heat has now taken its toll on the garden and it is gone.  I am watering the animals a few times a day to get them through it all but hopefully it will not be too long before we get a break in the heat.

This last week was rather busy. Police Son had a friend visit from San Diego for the week and all the family came to dinner on Tuesday to meet her. I almost forgot how to cook for a group of 10 but it was great having everyone together. Little Miss also had a birthday last week...

...and then Big Miss flew out to Washington to stay with an aunt and uncle for 2 weeks as well. This was taken at the airport right before Little Miss started crying which made me cry which made Big Miss cry....we were a bunch of sobbing gals....

NOOO...we changed our minds Big Miss...come back ...come back!

See? It WAS a busy week, I am not just making excuses here...
