Well, this year I am going to do the potato garden in a garbage can that I didn't do last year. I was determined to do it this year. It goes like this......... First you buy or use one of your big, plastic garbage cans that you have outside. Put a little dirt, mulch, compost etc.... in the bottom. Next get a bag of seed potatos and place on the dirt and cover them up with more dirt etc...When you see eyes or sprouts coming out of the dirt just throw more dirt until you cover them up. Keep on doing this for a few months or until you fill your garbage can up and then dump the entire can out and you will have an abundance of homegrown, yummy potatoes. I am going to do two. One for red potatoes and one for regular. Thats why I didn't do it last year because when I went to TSC, I couldn't decide which ones to get. What a crazy reason. It's part of my sickness. On another note.. not a good one at that . I woud like for you to keep my cousin Jennifer in your prayers. She has just learned that the baby she is carrying has Trisome 18. We are going to be going through a very hard time and will need all the encouragment that we can get. This is her 2nd child so she has little Jack who is 1 and will help her get through this along with a wonderful husband and very supportive and loving family. Nevertheless it will not be easy. Please Pray! We are going to the Smokey Mountains this week-end to chaperone a youth trip. I'm sure it will be a nice week-end. Maybe I will have pictures when I return. Have a blessed week-end and make alot of happy memories! Love, Tina |
