Spoke to soon

Just yesterday as I was showing a friend my chickens and coup and we were comparing notes as she has chickens too, she asked me if I close my hatch door on my coup at night. "Oh No" I said. Ever since we got our horses we haven't had any problem with night time varments. Weeelllllllllllllllllll!  As of today I have only 3 hens left. It seems like coyotes got my rooser and about 9 hens last night. I am sick about it. Iam very sad.  I have already put in an order for some more chicks before it gets to cold to ship. I guess that is just one of the downs of farm life. Well I have to go clean up the coup.

On a brighter note, it is beautiful outside today. Sunny and in the 70's. My daughter is feeling a little better after a time yesterday with an ovarian cyst that ruptured. We ended up in the emergency room. This week-end has been full don't you say. But we have each other and that is all that matters.

Love, Tina
