Spring Rain

Posted in Homestead News

It rained today but  the smell of the rain and earth was so welcomed. Spring is here! I was told today that the garden is ready to be planted. It's all tilled up! I'm so excited!  Now I have to figure out exactly wha t I am going to plant this year. Chad and Brittany are home from FFA state convention in Gatlinburg. Chad got his state FFA degee and Brittany will get hers in 2 years. I'm so proud of them! Abigail will get hers in 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My kids bring me so much joy my heart could just burst!  Just one more day to work at the dentist office this week. Then I'm home until Monday. Thats when the fun starts...Cooking, Planting, cleaning and just being on the farm with my family!   I never get tired of taking care of my home . I know God has given me a very special priviledge of  being a mama and wife. I thank him everyday! I hope everyone has a great day. Remember it's the little things that your family will remember and cherish!Love, Tina

for your encouraging comment!
And, right after I made out my list of things that need to be built in the barn!! lol No really, we *did* finally lose the side door, which is the main door we use...but I have plenty of helpers and I know I haven't had as much swelling when I am out working instead of sitting, surfing the net!
Your blog is so encouraging! I loved looking over your posts and reading about your new goats (yay!) and your children and your recipes.
What a lovely, sweet blog you have.
Thank you for sharing!
So, how close are you to Jenig, anyway?

Many Blessings!

Oh I'm so jealous! My garden is still to soggy to plant...we need a few more days/weeks of dry weather. I've tried to plant earlier but if it's too wet the seed or seedlings just rot in the ground. Have fun deciding and planting!
